I’m pretty much in Nick’s boat.  It’s awesome that we got rid of the ballhogs and head cases.  This team has a lot of good characters which makes you root for them much harder.  But this is the first year in a long time that we decreased the overall talent of the team after years of adding to the talent level.  That part isn’t very exciting.

Getting rid of the ballhogs and headcases is the same as adding talent. I believe we will see a huge difference.
A team that plays together and has on-court chemistry (plus a little off-court as well) is as important as talent. Gotta have both.
Losing Horford will hurt. He did so many things for this team. I'm still surprised by what he did. I can't believe he needed the extra money that bad and he doesn't seem the type to blindly chase a ring. I would have thought he would love playing on this year's team with the promise of a peaceful locker room.

It has been too long since we have seen the C's on the court.   I am happy for the preseason start and the season to follow.

On my way into work this morning, I heard on Toucher and Rich that today was Celtics media day. My first thought was, we’ll finally get that updated picture on the Celtics Strong home page soon.

Me Too!  Just wish CelticsStrong would take Kyrie and Al off of the homepage.  The new season is upon us and they are not part of this team.

I’m excited. I thinking Robert Williams is the key to our entire season. Admittedly, I realize that is probably not a good thing. My point is that he is the guy with the most potential on rebounding, pick and roll defense and rim running on our team. If he arrives defensively this year we could end up being super good - assuming all other pieces  ( Hayward back, Tatum and Brown leap and Kemba is more IT than Irving...) go as hoped for.

Given we’re somewhat of a long shot for title contention and therefore, in my mind, have nothing to lose as we develop the young guys this year., I would be looking to get Williams, good, bad or ugly, about 30 minutes a night from day one this year.
