It's only 10 days to our first pre-season game.

I take more stock in those games than some. For example, the way we played last pre-season (1-3?) was an early warning that we were not jelling.

I expect this team to be very together out of the pre-season gate.  The 4 guys getting the PT together in FIBA will help. The others hanging around the facility all summer will too.

I want to see a team with nothing to lose, that no one believes in, play with attitude and disdain.

TP --  I'm right there with you!!   I tired of waiting for media day, training camp news, pre-season games and finally the season to start.  This new roster is like getting a new toy but you're not allowed to play with it for months.

At least I'll have my Brewers to keep my mind occupied while I wait.

Same.   We need some fresh, tangible basketball to discuss.

The last few months have been so stagnant on here.  The usual dead zone.

I'm excited but I still don't know what to expect in terms of team chemistry.

Will Kemba Walker fit in well? Do we still have too many mouths to feed?

Lots of talk that Jaylen Brown will be elsewhere next season, Celts won't be willing to pay him what he wants. Will that create problems?

Last season was not fun to watch to put it mildly. I'm really hoping that this one will be decent but def a lot of question marks.

I'm excited for basketball to be back in general. With this team, it seems like whenever expectations are lower I enjoy the season, and when they're higher, I don't. So it should be a good time.  Go sports!!

LOL.  That was Mchale's idea, according to Brown, as I recall.

Not having Rozier and Morris around will certainly help the too many mouths to feed question.

I’m nervous how our interior D will look without Horford around.  So many question marks with our big guys.

Will Hayward be his old self, and will Brown and Tatum take a big leap in their games I want to see.

Lucky you, I wish I could say the same but this year the Sox were the Red Sucks.

2 years in a row making the playoffs.  hasn't happened since '81 and '82.  probably have to wait almost another 40 years before it happens again  :(

And they're going to the playoffs without Yelich, which is pretty amazing. I sorta wish the Brewers beat the Dodgers in the NLCS last year. A Sox/Brewers World Series would've been fun to see. I know the Brewers are coming to Fenway next season.

I am so excited for this season.  I feel like this years squad will be way easier to like and root for.  More of an underdog, with a lot of our players feeling like they have a lot to prove...can't wait for training camp and the pre-season to start.

TP to the OP!

I wish I was excited as all you guys. I don't want to be the Debby Downer but the hurt of not being something special last year and not having a core that featured Kyrie, Horford, Davis and a healthy Hayward still hasn't healed.

Of course, that doesn't mean that once the games roll around I won't cheer them on like mad and be convinced, until they are done for the season, that they can win it all. I am sure this group will heal all the hurts the Cs inflicted on me last season, but I am still hurting now and am just not overflowing with excitement for this season......right now. I am guessing by early November that will change.

I’m pretty much in Nick’s boat.  It’s awesome that we got rid of the ballhogs and head cases.  This team has a lot of good characters which makes you root for them much harder.  But this is the first year in a long time that we decreased the overall talent of the team after years of adding to the talent level.  That part isn’t very exciting.
