After much discussion, the Portland Trailblazers will select ESPN's 58th best player of all time and the man who will run our 2nd unit William Anthony Parker, Jr..

Tony has shown throughout his career a willingness to share the spot light and take a back seat when required, but also an ability to turn it on when needed like when he was Finals MVP.  We think his shooting and passing will fit very well with both the 1st and 2nd units and our happy to welcome him to the Blazers family.

That is why I put Tony in the 2nd paragraph, makes it a bit easier to figure out it was Tony Parker.  He also in my signature as that.  My guys get their full names in the draft announcement.

With the 7th pick of the 9th round of the Celticsstrong HIstorical Draft 2019 The MIA Heat select Marcus Smart

It's players like Smart that will enhance our team's identity as a multi-talented (but rugged) overall great team. Love the pitbull mentality he brings to the team and he makes impact plays.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
We here at the Detroit Pistons are lucky to have Pete Maravich. His scoring, playmaking, shooting and flair is essential for our continued attack on our 2nd unit. But we all know the one weakness to his game is defense. So we needed to get him a running mate to take the the defensive load for him.

And man, did we get the best one.

5x NBA Champion
8x All NBA Defensive Teams
'86-'87 Defensive Player of the Year.

With pick 9.8, we select Michael Cooper.

2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

I was debating him earlier and would have selected him in round 11 if he was still there.

I debated heavily what guy to put here, I went with this one hoping my other guys is still there at my next pick.

But I need another wing, a big one, and one who can shoot and score in bunches.

So I now have that guy.

with the 9(9) pick the Spurs select the 6foot7 shooting guard who put up 27.5/4.2/2 with 1.3 steals with 50% from the floor and 48% from the 3pt line on 4 attempts per game.

Dale Ellis

look how long those arms are, he can get his shot off on anybody.

I remember him giving Bird fits in 86/87. Same year he won DPOY.

So Greenrunsdeep doesn't have a draft board per usual? Not slamming him, preparing for college does take up a lot of time.

I was pondering him, especially since I already have 2 Showtime Lakers, but ultimately decided he was too limited as an overall player to take in Round 9.  Would have loved to nab him a bit later though.

My Bench is becoming MASSIVE

PG: Penny - 6foot7
SG: Ellis - 6foot8
SF: Hedu - 6foot10
PF: ??
C: Yao Ming - 7foot6

I actually have the ability to slot Ellis into my starting SF slot, and move butler to my primary bench scorer behind Kobe.

So many options.
