I'm culturally illiterate and don't know who Nick Wright is.

Should I google him or am I better off not knowing?

Better off not knowing since he's nobody worth knowing anyway. In fact he's been known to make up fake news on his show.

I don’t know who he is either, but I do understand what he was saying.  What I don’t understand is what Kanter’s response was.  Seems to be a pic with him on his phone and Kemba in the background.  People obviously think it’s a humorous statement in response to Wright, but I don’t get it?   Is it just that he is proudly tweeting a pic of Kemba?

You may have looked when he had his head up LeBron's derriere which is 99.9% of the time.

Kanter mouthed off to the President of Turkey, Nick Wright would not be an afterthought.

Okay thanks for the heads up.  TP. I'll just assume he's some talking head know-it-all who's an ignoramus.

I beg your pardon for not clicking on your link.

I don't like Nick Wright at all, but he's not wrong.
Agree with you.  Kanter's tweet was funny though.  There has been a lot of talk lately of Boston fans being jerks and driving Kyrie away.  I don't agree with that.  But I do think that a lot of Celticsstrong posters have Kevin Durant level thin skin when any media person does what he's paid to do and gives his opinion.  Whether it's the perceived slighting of anything Boston or praise of any rival, almost all of the media people on tv are slammed on this blog.

Maybe they just disagree with the hyperbolic response by the person. Nothing wrong with Kanter talking back.

Hyperbolic suggests he's exaggerating in that clip. Everything he said was true, we spun a disastrous offseason into Kemba which was a good move but this team as constructed is nowhere near the contender conversation. Nick called out the downgrade in our frontcourt (going from Baynes/Horford to Kanter and one of Hayward/Tatum at the 4 is a step back) and that we've previously been a team that hung our hat on the defensive end but they additions we've made aren't good defensively.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

While also never acknowledging the fact that this "disaster" would never have happened without Hayward breaking his leg in half AND Kyrie having to undergo knee surgery last year.

Those things don't happen, the Celtics are coming off back-to-back finals appearances and a championship.

But Nick Wright, of course, never mentions that and pretends that Ainge screwed everything up when in reality, bad luck was what destroyed our plan.

There's just no way to prove that to be true, so why should that be taken into account? The Celtics aren't the first team ever to have dealt with injuries, just look at GSW. The facts are the facts: our overall talent took a hit, the pieces we brought in don't suggest a defense-first approach, and for the 3rd season in a row our success relies on Gordon Hayward's health.

But he described the additions as a disaster. Getting those players aren’t as good as what could have been but circumstances forced the Celtics to adapt. They made out well and no where near what he was saying.

I disagree witf you because neither you nor Nick Wright has factored in the addition by subtraction with Kyrie gone. You also fail to consider the natural progression of Smart, Brown, and Tatum. Kanter is younger than Al, and Kemba is a better fit than Kyrie. Your support of the Boston hating Nick Wright is wrong but not unexpected.

One of the hard lessons I've learned in life is that there is a right way and a wrong way to say everything.

You're so blindly committed to attacking everything I post that you must've missed where I flat out said I don't like Nick Wright. But nothing he said in that clip was wrong. In fact, he said although Kemba is the lesser player (which he is), he's probably a better locker room fit than Kyrie (which he should be).
