I don't like Nick Wright at all, but he's not wrong.
Agree with you. Kanter's tweet was funny though. There has been a lot of talk lately of Boston fans being jerks and driving Kyrie away. I don't agree with that. But I do think that a lot of Celticsstrong posters have Kevin Durant level thin skin when any media person does what he's paid to do and gives his opinion. Whether it's the perceived slighting of anything Boston or praise of any rival, almost all of the media people on tv are slammed on this blog.
Maybe they just disagree with the hyperbolic response by the person. Nothing wrong with Kanter talking back.
Hyperbolic suggests he's exaggerating in that clip. Everything he said was true, we spun a disastrous offseason into Kemba which was a good move but this team as constructed is nowhere near the contender conversation. Nick called out the downgrade in our frontcourt (going from Baynes/Horford to Kanter and one of Hayward/Tatum at the 4 is a step back) and that we've previously been a team that hung our hat on the defensive end but they additions we've made aren't good defensively.
While also never acknowledging the fact that this "disaster" would never have happened without Hayward breaking his leg in half AND Kyrie having to undergo knee surgery last year.
Those things don't happen, the Celtics are coming off back-to-back finals appearances and a championship.
But Nick Wright, of course, never mentions that and pretends that Ainge screwed everything up when in reality, bad luck was what destroyed our plan.
