Romeo hurt again. Ankle this time. https://celticswire.usatoday.com/2019/11/15/watch-romeo-langford-injures-ankle-heads-to-locker-room/amp/

Pretty clear he’s becoming a bust right before our eyes.

Who do a couple of common injuries equal being a bust?

Should Romeo consider working with another fitness trainer? Or, at the very least change his fitness routine?

There have been 2 injuries since he returned from his thumb surgery. Could be just bad luck. Might also be a conditioning problem.

If it's the later, then it will take a year or more of dedicated training to gain added strength and flexibility. Maybe that will help?

Sure hope he can shake the injury bug before too long.

I feel bad for him . Even if he’s healthy he wouldn’t get any chance to play in the next 4 or 5 years as long as we keep Hayward and smart ... might be best for him and us too to trade him to a rebuilding team and get a solid center in return..

Hey... He is who we thought he was... The next James Young.

No. He is more fluid and dynamic than Young ever was. Better athlete too.

He has just been hurt. Passing judgment this early is absurd.

Yep, this gut reaction is extreme.  A great example of how things can change drastically from year 1 to year 2 is Reggie Lewis.

not worried

these are not serious injuries IMO

Smart was always half killing himself the first couple years

what little i ve seen , he looked confident on court , something Young never did.

Im hoping for at least a poor man ET.

Feel bad for the kid to have this run of bad luck. When he’s on he’s clearly got something special on offense.

Good luck, Romeo!

Twisting an ankle has nothing to do with the trainer or fitness routine. If he were constantly pulling muscles and straining tendons then you might wonder, but he simply landed wrong on the ankle.

No freaking way he is even remotely becoming a Reggie Lewis. He is no where near his height nor wingspan.
he is more likely a taller Marcus Banks....lol

As far as I can find:

Langford is 6’6” in shoes (6’4.5” without shoes) with a 6’11” wingspan.

Lewis was 6’7” in shoes with a 6’11” wingspan.

Am I missing something?

this is a lazy post. to say romeo resembles marcus banks would require you to ignore their offensive game and over all athleticism.

romeo is a very, very good player at attacking the basket. his flaw to date has been his mid to outside shot. if he fixes this he will be a very good nba player. if not,  it will limit his ceiling.

banks was a point guard and his whole game was predicated upon a different position.

please post better than this. thank you.

I see Romeo as having a first year similar to Rob Williams and I sure like what a year's acclimatization did for him.  We don't really have a spot for Romeo so let him learn and grow - see what we have - I am optimistic!
