What’s our record the last two years with Rozier starting versus Kyrie? I’m pretty sure it’s better.  If Irving walks i’d be Ok with Rozier starting. If he’s the man he’ll probably be very dialed in defensively. Really tough watching all the defensive breakdowns with Irving on the floor, particularly down the stretches of games. Re-sign Rozier to start and use the mid-level on rubio or Hill as solid back ips

Depends on which Rozier. If they get the selfish me first version, no thank you.

Agreed. If I had to bet i’d say we get the better version. Rozier has to swallow a lot with Irving back after being the guy who lead the team to the ECF’s six months earlier. Then, on top of losing playing time he had to listen to Irving verbal BS all season, while being thrown under the bus as part of the “young guys”. Rozier has a bit of Draymond’s mentality in him - he’s not going to lay down. I’m not a big fan of Irving’s. I’d bring him back if it meant Davis would stay long term in a trade scenario but otherwise don’t want to pay that guy $38 million as the face of the franchise - i’d Rather pay Rozier $15 and have a ballsy, cocky tough kid at the point who everybody really likes (according to team reports) versus the aloof, abrasive Irving. That’where the chemistry issues originated this season. Lastly, I always preferred how the team looked and played minus Irving. Let Tatum, Brown and Hayward be the go to guys. Let them develop that...

No interest in bringing Rozier back. I thought that the J's development was stunted because of ball stopping players preventing them from getting the same looks they got the previous season. Rozier is a ball stopper, anytime he's out there running the point he keeps the ball out of the hands of better players around him.

Give me Smart at PG over, Rozier any day. Smart is better at running the pick and roll, a much better passer, a better defender and last season he was comparable shooter. Most importantly Smart gets the ball moving while Rozier kills ball movement.

Rozier is a guy who can create looks when his teammates aren't able to. I'd much rather have Hayward, Brown and Tatum try to create those looks than Rozier.

My biggest beef with Terry was complaining about how the usage of Gordon Hayward (along with Kyrie) hurt his production. That is total BS. Hayward went out of his way to find Terry when on the court together.  Maybe he put it that way so it didn't sound like he was singling out Hayward. But it was utter nonsense.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

If anything I thought the opposite was true. Terry's usage hurt Gordon.

Yeah, I am hearing him as a Net is a done deal, as Boston has been informed and operating as such.

What source says that Boston has been informed of this? That is news to me.

What's your point? That they're pretty similar? That they're both pretty inefficient, especially FG%?

If Kyrie really is discontented with certain young players, he might be leveraging Ainge into dumping them for veteran talent.

If he keeps his options open and leaks certain things about the Nets etc it definitely puts pressure on Boston to accommodate him.

I've gotta think there is still a lot of appeal staying here if the right team is around him. He still has a chance to be the hero here while competing for a title (and earning more money), but more on his terms.

Kyrie Irving’s reportedly "rocky relationship" with young teammates might be among reasons he would leave the Boston Celtics

So much for being a leader. It's not easy, and it's not like Brown/Tatum/Smart/Rozier are super green. They went deep into the playoffs one game from the finals.

Plus, when Hayward had those couple big games, the young guys celebrated him and propped him up while he was being interviewed. Think they might respect him more than they do Irving, except maybe Tatum.

This would be the wise thing to do.

I have never understood Boston fans obsession with this "Young core." We dumped Young guys for championships, I am talking a number one pick in Wiggins. It worked out for us.

I don't see what is so great about Brown or Tatum. I don't even think they would be the best player on my Cavs. Maybe a back and forth with those two and Sexton and Clarkson. I don't think there would be a definitive number one guy every night like a Devin Booker, Luka or Jokic.
