What does the James Harden of New England mean? Winning the MVP repeatedly, with a smart front office and getting tons of media coverage and being an injury a half away from the finals? That seems like a weird way to phrase it.
I assume in the context of her statement that he doesn't want to be a 1 man team and have to do everything.  You'd have to ask Jackie Mac though as she said it

That is so disrespectful to the rest of this team.

It is, but he never said that. Let's not let rumors and hearsay paint inaccurate pictures of celtic players.

I am also confused how Harden is a one man team unless this is just meant for the last 10-15 games with capela and paul hurt. Is Paul no longer considered an all-star? Capela was probably going to be an all-star this year before being hurt with 17, 13 and 2 blocks. They also were a very deep and good team last year. This isn't like KG on the wolves...

Funny thing is there is a segment of pundits who are frustrated that Brad doesn't have Kyrie handle the ball in similar ways to Harden. They get annoyed that players other than Horford/Kyrie play make and handle as much as they do.

I'm guessing its more a reference to being a one man offense who just creates all of the shots when he is on the floor.

Which when the C's have been playing/shooting/moving like crap isn't a crazy frustration to vent. Things have gotten a lot better since that 10-10 start though even with the up and downs.

Actually, Chris Paul hasn't made an All Star game since the '15-16 Season. This'll be the third year since he made one.

I also highly doubt Clint Capela was ever going to get an AS berth in the West this season. He was playing great but too many good players out West ahead of him.

Meanwhile, James Harden's USG% last season was a league leading 36.1 and this year it's gone up to 40.7 (!).

This whole thing is bizarre. Don't really get why people are running around doing Rich Paul's bidding. Remember when Phil Jackson referred to them as a posse?

The weird thing about this is that it isn't just Chris Haynes, Bleacher Report (Bucher) is picking it up too. B/R is owned by Turner, Yahoo by Yahoo, so I guess....?

Ric Bucher isn't the most reliable, neither is Haynes, but both guys have gotten ahead of stories before.

Honestly though, I'm still inclined to take Jackie Mac at her word that this is bogus.

They aren't, not really. This is playing out largely the same as it has with any power agent in the past. Powerful agents always have media members willing to put their spin out there, been that way as long as I can remember (so 90s)

AD is trying to put the thumb on the scales like many players before, but due to the CBA changes this is playing out a year before his FA so he has less leverage than Melo did for example. I am confident that the NoP are going to make what they think is the best deal.

i think Chris Paul definitely would have made it last year if he had not missed the first 15 games last year and been limited for 5 more. He basically averaged 20 points and 7-8 assists and 1.5-2 steals from December on for a team winning 80% of its games. He was definitely playing at an all-star level last year (although I agree he has not this year even when he is been healthy. Capela was certainly in all the conversations that were being had before he got injured.

I am too.

The two scenarios I could see him leaving would be if they try and give less than the 5 year max with an ETO and he gets p---ed about it.

Or

The Celtics flame out in the first round in a fairly spectacular fashion and AD ends up elsewhere and he sours on the talent in Boston because of that.

he never did but Jackie did and sort of attributed it to Irving, so if you believe Jackie on the part that Irving leaving is nonsense then you have to believe that part as well.  You can't just pick and choose.
