Celtics First to Call Thomas

Posted this elsewhere -- maybe it lives here. I think a deal that involves the following make some sense:

BOS gets: Monroe @10mil per year, McLemore, D. Williams, Thompson, (filler at half Wallace's $$$ for same # of years)
BOS trades: Rondo, G. Wallace, J. Green

SAC gets: J. Smith, Rondo, G. Wallace
SAC trades: I. Thomas, McLemore, D. Williams, Thompson

DET gets: J. Green, I. Thomas @ 8mil per year
DET trades: J. Smith, Greg Monroe

I could see a 3-team trade being worked out between those 3 teams... but I doubt Ainge made Thomas his #1 Free Agent target just so he could re-route him to a 3rd team.    I imagine if we worked out a deal like this, we'd take back Thomas and Mclemore.

Two factors you may be overlooking: 1) Detroit's willingness to overpay for Thomas; 2) Ainge's need to deal with SAC on a Rondo trade, for lack of better options.

Its looking like Miami will strike out on Lowry, Gortat and Deng. I think Isaiah Thomas will become Miami's fallback option with some money leftover for an extra role player.

Thomas or no Thomas , the fact that they got Napier is just another thing to hate on the cHeat for.

This local kid is big-time clutch, and he is NBA ready to rain points down on opponents who are especially pre-occupied with LeWaSh.
