In his defense -- they are all jocks. :P
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Remember how rondo said he would like to be involved in the FA process. Guess thats out the door. No way he would be happy to have thomas breathing down his neck.

Dont think he wanted the celts to draft smart either. He has not said anything publicly yet about the pickups. No congrats or anything.

He didn't publicly congrats Sully or Kelly either...I guess he didn't want them drafted either.

prob not or is indifferent. What a good leader he is

Or an experienced enough veteran of this business to know that they ain't your teammates until you get on the floor in camp with them.

Any one of Smart, Young or Rondo could be traded before then.

Pretty sure that most veterans don't go out of their way to offer premature welcomes to draftees until they are well out of the trade threat.

Poor excuse. Enough vets publicly welcomed their teams pick. Are they just dumb then?

Yeah.  Most veteran players are just dumb then.   You have it all figured out.

 ::)

whatever. Take off your rondo goggles.

prepare to anyways

Posted this elsewhere -- maybe it lives here. I think a deal that involves the following make some sense:

BOS gets: Monroe @10mil per year, McLemore, D. Williams, Thompson, (filler at half Wallace's $$$ for same # of years)
BOS trades: Rondo, G. Wallace, J. Green

SAC gets: J. Smith, Rondo, G. Wallace
SAC trades: I. Thomas, McLemore, D. Williams, Thompson

DET gets: J. Green, I. Thomas @ 8mil per year
DET trades: J. Smith, Greg Monroe

I would be okay with this. We probably need to get a SF in Free Agency though like a Parsons, and I think Sac needs to give us a pick and Detriot a pick. Good trade though.

Detroit is being bent over and f'd in that deal.  No way.

Agree...and also, in no way does Detroit trade BOTH Monroe and Josh Smith, no way on earth.

What is wrong with you? They clearly disagreed with you and all you do is hurl insults. Calm down.

Yeah well NBA players aren't gonna smell like a garden if you catch them at the wrong time.

The real question is: Was Thomas the first to answer the Celtics call?

FYI the Cs also called at least 25 players. No big news here. Well except for Triboy16 and Chris22 who both have a hard-on for Rondo.
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

Don't get it. There's already a logjam in the backcourt.  Prepping for a Rondo trade?  Not interested, just keep Rondo, try to resign him, but know you have Smart as backup.

Isn't this the same way that Ainge and Rivers made leaving Boston an easy decision for Ray Allen, by going after free agents that would have essentially replaced him before he was resigned?  I believe Doc was the first person to call Jason Terry, and we all know how well that turned out for us ::)  Isaiah Thomas has no place here unless Rondo and, to a lesser extent, Pressey are gone.  Why is Danny doing this?  I just don't see the logic in it.
