All good things.  From my perspective, "rocking the boat" isn't a bad thing, so long as it's done constructively.  We're always open to new ideas, and the staff isn't above criticism.  Just take some time, check out the rules, and address thoughts related to administration (positive or negative) in the appropriate place.

I'm glad you guys came over, and I'm sure things will work out well for everyone.  (As for Current Events, that's a whole different breed of conversation, that is moderated pretty tightly due to past negative experiences for the community.)

I always found it remarkable how he ended up calling for a ban on boxing.

Howard Cosell (1918-1995)

By the early 1980s Cosell’s insistence on speaking his mind had made him one of the best-loved and most-hated figures of postwar America.  It also led him, step by step, to give up the career that had made him a celebrity.  In 1982, while commenting ringside at a brutally one-sided boxing match between Larry Holmes and Randall “Tex” Cobb, he became enraged when the referee refused to stop the fight.  “I wonder,” he told the audience in a now famous quote, “if that referee is constructing an advertisement for the abolition of the very sport that he is a part of?”  Afterward he announced that he would never again cover another professional boxing match as long as he lived.  Indeed, he would soon be appearing before a congressional committee to call for a legal ban on the sport.

Unfortunately, he did have his own kind of Rick Barry moment. Though reading through comments, apparently Cosell referred to whites as monkeys too. I'll always remember him for sharing the news John Lennon had been shot. The Patriots were playing Miami on MNF.

Ok, here's a rule change we'll eventually need. When it drops down to 5, subtract 4 from 3 people and add 4 to two. For four, back to even. Then for three, subtract 4 from two and add 4 to one.

Thanks for the videos, Nick.  I watched some part of each of them.  Interesting.

Regarding the Sports Villain Game:  All 6 who remain are plenty vile enough to be enshrined in the Sports Villain Hall of Fame.  I am satisfied to stop playing now, from my side.  If others want to continue, more power to you.  But I won't take any more turns, myself.  I don't want to help any of these 6 get off of the list.  They all belong there.
