The adulation from the trio to the Celts while whallopping NY for most of the game was just as understandable as the excitement of the Knick comeback. I actually was waiting for it. The Celts are famous for blowing large leads. I'd take Breem over Gorman anytime. Johnny Most was better on his sick bed.

Actually I'm not a big fan of someone telling me what I'm seeing. Do we need 3 announcers hyping a game that we can see? That was OK during radio days. I mute most of games with the exception of the exceptions, and record all games televised in my area then replay the games in a little over an hour.

I'm fairly neutral with regard to Breen, but no way on earth I'd take him over Gorman. Gorman is the best IMO.

As for Breen, JVG, and Jackson, I was initially disappointed that ABC chose those guys due of their strong NY ties. I was sure it was going to be a NY love fest, with all discussion topics being NY. I was actually kind of pleased their telecast, probably because I was expecting it to be so much worse.

I've always sort of suspected that Breen secretly likes the grit and unselfishness of the Cs, even if he doesn't like the team per se. I think Perk was even one of his favorite players. It must be a relief to him that he no longer plays for the Celtics.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010
