when the knicks made that run..breen was downright giddy...when the Cs countered..it was like someone ran over his dog

I have watched games commentated by that trio with the volume down. Much more enjoyable.

Jackson is an idiot who thinks his audience is also.  In a lot of ways, he's the Larry Merchant of NBA broadcasts.  He adds absolutely nothing to the telecast with his redundant kindergarten cliche's.

Reggie Miller is a slight upgrade over Jackson...Which is saying very little.

Agree with Who on VanGundy.

I do think that JVG and jackson are funny sometimes. The most annoying and clueless announcers are from the Chicago broadcast team.

To me, the worst random homer is Hubie Brown. He starts actively rooting for a team during the game, and it is usually the team the Celtics are playing. I think he usually starts rooting for the team trailing, but it is pretty annoying.

So, basically, the Celtics are taking the lead in too many games when Hubie Brown is announcing?

I don't know about that. He is such a Laker homer, his man-crush emminates beyond the tv.

If I hear another "you can't give up rebounds to the 2-time defending champs and expect to win" I'm gonna go crazy lol

I agree with much of what's been said here.

Breen is ridiculous. He's such a Knick homer, you'd think he's broadcasting the games while sitting on Spike Lee's lap.

I have less of a problem with Jackson and Van Gundy, other than the annoying catch-phrases. On a good day, I view both of them as comic relief, with the occasional outburst that passes for insight/color commentary.

I think Mike Tirico does an OK job, but really do not care for Hubie Brown's egregious overuse of the 2nd person.

Kevin Harlan drives me batty, and Reggie Miller sometimes appears like a non-native English speaker (UCLA education? Really?).

I am warming to the Marv Albert-Steve Kerr duo, although it may be because I have no choice.

Mark Jackson worships Kobe, LeBron, DWade ... he justs gets so irritating. I would prefer to have Hubie Brown and Jon Barry if that combination were available (cant stand Tirico)

I'd rather have white noise than the three clowns that were on yesterday.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

I don't have a problem with any of them.  I think JVG can be funny sometimes, and do some fairly decent analysis.   I guess if I had to nitpick about something, it would have to be some of Mark Jackson's comments during replays ...I always find myself saying, "What in the heck did he just say?", as in that is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard...Example...  Some player will get the ball and make a pretty good play and on the replay Mark Jackson will say something along the lines of, "Paul Pierce gets the ball, drives to the hole and tells everybody, "Get out of my way, I'm taking it to the streets."  I'm always like, "What did he just say?"

Let's not forget "Mama there goes that man". Breen and Jackson are both New Yorkers so you know they probably have a deep rooted antipathy for anything related to Boston. Van Gundy is the brother of a certain coach down in Orlando so the bias is pretty obvious there, whether he openly shows it or not. Reggie Miller always says "Right there". He may say it like 3 or 4 times in 1 sentence which gets old fast.

Not a fan of Breen, but never felt he was a homer. He is a lot tougher on the Knicks than most home broadcasters are on their home team, in the tradition of Marv Albert.

I think JVG is one of the better color guys out there.  dude usually gives takes that are much more insightful than the same tired comments that a majority of former players use far too often.  Jackson and Breen are meh.
