Rasheed is old guys. In NBA years he is practically a dinosaur. He is 35 years old logging 41424 total minutes in his career. Its a miracle he didnt get injured this season. He just doenst have the hops or the footspeed to keep pace with guys like Noah and Varejoe anymore.
I would buy that if Rasheed was trying out there. However, how many times this season have we watched him let balls roll out of bounds, or allow somebody else to grab a rebound because he didn't feel like going after it? How many times have we seen him settle for lazy threes early in the shot clock?
It's not just age. A lot of it is attitude, and I think that's what rubs fans the wrong way.
This is what I hate most about Sheed. Watching a rebound almost come to him and then all of a sudden another player comes out of nowhere and jumps in front of him and takes the rebound away. Rasheed makes no move whatsoever towards the ball and tries to wait for it to come to him. And in the last game I think it was Ray that passed the ball to him. All he had to do was bend over to get it, but he didn't want to and let it go out of bounds.

I was on board with the Sheed signing, but his lack of hustle is ridiculous.
That being said, hopefully he shows up when we really need him to.
