With Kemba active for tomorrow it looks like Tremont Waters is going back to Maine.

Send Wannamaker to Maine.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

How did this gem fall so low in the draft??

Lack of height. Not overly athletic.

another situation where the 'experts' were wrong.

On top of the player of the week award he won (1st week).  Now this....

Celtics rookie Tremont Waters named NBA G League Player of the Month.

Claws are 7-0 with Waters in the lineup

Kid is on fire

Can the Celtics easily send down Edwards and bring up Waters?

Waters would do a better job running the point on the 2nd unit vs Wannamaker or Edwards

I really like Waters. That said, Wanamaker is in the 50/40/90 club, with solid defense, and very steady. One or two bad games, but he’s been good most every night. Waters is a craftier passer, and his ceiling may be higher, but it’s really hard to find fault with Wanamaker’s game as a backup PG.

Waters is a real point guard .  Making plays is how he will earn his keep .

Problem is BS is playing Edwards at SG mostly. He would probably do the same with Waters, ask him to stand at the 3pt line.

Actually I think Edwards would flourish more playing beside Waters.

Then we would have backcourt size of a 7th-grade classroom.
Not sure I want that.

Well, Toronto’s team D has been better than solid - it’s been great, a joy to watch in fact. Ibaka has returned, which likely means that they’ll be even better, though at least for now it also robs us of getting to see as much of Chris Boucher. They’re currently #1 overall, and the Celtics will likely have more difficulty with them next time around.

With Lowry out, they’ve been starting Norman Powell (6’3”, 215), so they’re not as small in the backcourt as when they last faced Boston. It’ll sure be interesting to see how Lowry coming back affects the starting lineup.

People wrote them off because of losing Kawhi, but they’ve added some key guys, like Hollis-Jefferson; plus Anunoby is healthy and at last fulfilling on his potential - he’s got All-Defense written all over him. He took LeBron in their win in LA...

'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

Its the regular season

Pump the brakes

Leonard is a huge loss

In the playoffs they dont have anyone like him

Maybe Siakam. Maybe Van Vleet.

But I see those guys more like Battier clutch and not meat and potatoes

I like the Celtics chances against them in a playoff matchup
