Hayward should start at PF.

Without Horford here, there is no better option. The Celtics have no quality big men. So go small and try to out-score teams. Let Hayward be the team's point forward at PF.

No real PG
No real shooting
No bigs

Boston is 100 broken.

If he does leave we're in for a rough season

That's because Ainge and the Celts tried to be too good too fast!

Celts should have stayed in the lottery for 3 seasons after Pierce and KG left.

By trading for Isaiah at the trade deadline of 2015, Celts made the playoffs.

Celts could have had a lottery pick in 2015 and Jaylen Brown and another lottery pick in 2016.
I don't think anyone knew IT had a near MVP level to him.

Can't hold it against Al if he leaves

Wow who wrote that nuclear option scenario a few weeks ago? That didnt seem that likely at that time...

I've said this too and have been yelled at. LOL But he's close to Horford's size and todays game the PF's aren't big bangers like they use to be.

Yikes! Sounds like the go young, blow it up crowd is getting their wish this offseason. Pretty disastrous imo. We went from potential contender to a team likely to miss the playoffs.

Yeah this has been an epic failure and that’s coming from somebody who has been high on Ainge. He messed up not making moves at the deadline.

Looks like we’ll be going young. Hey maybe just 5 more years to the next title...?

Shams also just tweeted that Kyrie has pretty much told the C's he's leaving already.

Could this just be a tactic to try and get Boston to give him that 4th year?

Chris Forsberg on Early Edition was speculating about that just now.

This is exactly what it sounds like to me. Not sure how you go from likely signing a three year deal this morning to this now. Very suspiciously sounding like a negotiating tactic for either a higher salary or a fourth year.

Boston and Al Horford had discussed contract scenarios, but the gulf is too great for sides to believe they can close on a new deal now, league sources tell ESPN. Horford is prepared to enter the free agency to find a three or four year deal elsewhere.

Welp, this about sums it up. Looks pretty clear at this point that Kyrie is leaving and we don’t want to spend too much money on Al to keep him here. Extreme youth movement here we come. Too bad we couldn’t even get a S&T deal to work for him (like Capela), Though I guess that’s still possible.

Wow. What a ****ty few months for Celtics fans. But at this point I’m just ready to move on to the next phase of our homegrown boys.

I wonder what Ainge is doing right now.

Probably sitting on his hands like how he did during midseason not making moves to improve the roster for the playoff run, and being way too focused on Anthony Davis that affected the performance of Jayson Tatum.

Reason for Ainge not improving the team at the trade deadline was because he was all in on Anthony Davis.

Ainge lost that gamble.

Celts had 2 options after not getting AD.

1. Continue with Horford and try to be competitive.

2. Quasi rebuild.

Now with Horford gone, it's time to accept reality and embrace another rebuild.

Might as well try and move Gordon Hayward. There's no point in keeping him if we can't keep Al.

Move on with Jaylen and Jayson, go young.

We have no frontcourt, no backcourt, and a logjam at the wings. C’s in a terrible position, roster-wise.

35 win team MAX.

Lottery bound.

Worst front court in the NBA

Worthless draft picks this year

No PG

An overpaid HAYWARD

Nobody remotely interested in playing here.

Big disappointment. Was not expecting this.

Guess we will focus on drafting a center, probably Goga, and more likely we will take a shot on Bol.

I'll wait until they officially ink the deal. This could just a ploy to sway Danny to pay him more dollars. I was optimistic this coming season with Al still on board. But without him? Not so much. Hopefully they can still sort this out.

Ok I take back what I said in a different thread like 10 mins ago... max out DAR, why the heck not at this point. Maybe he goes IT super saiyan mode when he’s here and we pump up his trade value.
