For the first time in the series we were on the receiving end of favorable officiating and still got our butts kicked in game 4.  I don't mean to sound overly negative, but I didn't have confidence in this Celtics team before the series started and I certainly don't now.  Team chemistry isn't there.  Close to 0% chance we win 3 in a row against a clearly superior team in the Bucks.

I wouldn't put it past this bewildering team to blow them out in Game 5 and then fail us again in Game 6 :-\

We basically have to shoot around 50% from 3 to beat them. Can we get streaky and do it? Sure. But is it likely? Definitely not.  :-\

Yesterday, I had I migraine.
I don't know if it is related to our 3 game losing streak or not.
Today I woke up, I believe we can put a fight and at least return on the shield.
Dead, but honorable.

Only one more game of having to even consider watching this cesspool of a team!  It all ends tonight!

*Not a reverse jinx*

Off-season starts tonight.

I'm genuinely relieved by the thought.

Agreed.  I can honestly say that I've never felt this way about a Celtics team before.  My friend and I share season tickets and I told him that the game was over at the half the other night.  I never leave early but it's the first time I genuinely wanted to bail because I couldn't stand to watch a talented group not play for each other with the season on the line.

Even if they go down fighting hard tonight, it means nothing after everything that happened up to this point.  I'll share the same sentiment even if they manage to bring the series to game 7.  A miraculous run to the Eastern Conference Finals is the only thing that is acceptable at this point.  I could live with a loss to Toronto, assuming that they actually fight hard every night.

Simply put, this team can't earn any points for grit and determination unless the results follow.  Game 4 left a permanent stain on this group.  They've left too much on the table up to this point.

One game at a time. I believe they can win tonight; if they do that I'll worry about Game 6.

Even in the past, when we were down 2-0 in series, or 3-2, or even 3-0, I always had faith this team would play with heart and potentially make a comeback or at least extend a series (keep on fighting).

But unfortunately I just have no faith in this 2019 team. It seems to me most of the players themselves have mentally checked out and there's no fight left in them.

If Hondo's passing, Ainge's recent health scare and Marcus Smart's return well ahead of schedule couldn't inspire this team at home, then I don't know what will...

I think many of us feel the same way.  As I alluded to in my last post, the "keep fighting" mentality isn't enough at this point.  Game 4 was such a gutless performance in a game that was served up on a silver platter.  A series comeback is truly the only acceptable result at this point.

Context matters in a series like this.  I was prepared to accept a loss in 7 games IF the Celtics fought hard until the end.  The last two games, specifically game 4, destroyed that sentiment.

Well, to be fair, Smart was a huge net negative last game. Neither his season long improved shooting nor his bulldog defense we're on display. His being there did not help the team in any way.

Guess I'll just never understand the "put the team out of its misery" mindset.

Very tepid expectations for tonight but still want the W & more games to play.

I agree. I have never understood giving up on a game before ever being played. I want more Celtic games, not less. I want the win.

I think its one of either; caring more about being proven right on a point made about this team than it is about necessarily winning or being bothered by the fact that its not necessarily a team that makes you "warm & fuzzy".

My two cents.
