I believe if they win Game 4 this goes 7.

If the Bucks win game 4 it is over in game 5.

C's can still win Game 4 and lose Games 5 and 6 aka 2016 playoff series against Atlanta Hawks.

But, I am hoping the Celtics win Game 4 tonight, and then they can steal Game 5, and win Game 6. Do not want to see Milwaukee in Game 7.

The refs are not gonna be on the side of the team that rarely creates contact inside as opposed to the team that does it frequently and consistently.

This take sounds reasonable ... until you consider the 'make up' free throws at the end of the game that the refs give out to make the FTA totals look similar.

I.E. - after a huge disparity to one side through the 3rd period, suddenly the team that "rarely creates contact inside" was awarded 16 FTAs (to just 11 for MIL) in the 4th period.

It's all bogus.   That was just to disguise the disparity earlier, that put the game out of reach. 

The Cs were in the penalty just 4 minutes into the 3rd.  We had 4 of our most important defenders (Horford, Brown, Morris & Semi) all playing with 3+ fouls by the end of that period.

When you have that many fouls it dictates how tightly you can play defense.  It dictates who the coach can put on the floor.

And when the other team is in the bonus and constantly going to the free throw line, it dictates that you will almost always be starting your possessions against a set defense.

I actually did the summary on here, but Boston went from up 1 to down 8 in the last 4ish minutes of the 3rd quarter and each team had exactly 6 foul shots (3 fouls on each team).  The difference was Boston didn't hit a shot, while Milwaukee did not miss a shot.  And those shots by and large were deep 3 pointers (from both teams).  Boston let the game get out of a hand, by quite simply settling for long shots and things like floaters in the lane that just didn't go in.  It had nothing to do with fouls or foul shots.

You have to keep in mind that if MKE wasn't living at the line the entire game, that stretch wouldn't have mattered as much. The refs kept MKE in that game meaning Boston coldn't break away when they were hitting shots.

I'll say it again, the whole "Boston should've payed better" line was used by those who were fans of teams screwed by Donaghy. I wonder if those who didn't want to hear anything about the refs felt differently once the truth came out? Now I'm not saying the Refs were paid, but they didn't call the game fair.

Does a bad call have more of an impact just because it's made by a ref on the take, or does it really matter in the end because a team is getting screwed either way?

I mean how can you guys say that we were at fault when you had calls like Hayward's layup attempt in the 1st called a non shooting foul and Brown not getting a call after getting a head shot from Giannis on his dunk? Of course 2 calls don't decide the game, however those 2 are EXAMPLES of the blatant ineptitude of the officials. Those were not hard calls to make and they intentionally swallowed their whistles. Meanwhile they're putting Giannis on the line every time he gets so much as looked at.

Guys, you don't get extra cred points in life for trying to take the high road. Some games teams can play through terrible officiating, some games they simply cannot. Game 3 was one such game that was so one sided it would've taken near perfection to win.

In the first half alone Giannis was gifted points/free throws on 5 different possessions that replay clearly showed he should not have gotten. That is huge.

So is putting Boston in the penalty in just 4 minutes of the third and giving Milwaukee 16 free throws in those last 8 minutes of the third. Being in foul trouble definitely changes the way you play defense.

What also changes the way you play defense is foul trouble. And those two cheap fouls on Brown to give him 5, took Boston's best defender out of the game hurting their chances of a comeback.

Gotta look at the whole game to see the ways the game was called that changed the game completely into Milwaukee's favor.

Oh yeah, definitely. There were many 50/50 calls in the 4th they were giving to us that they refused to give us earlier when the game was close. Ridiculous.
