The refs are not gonna be on the side of the team that rarely creates contact inside as opposed to the team that does it frequently and consistently.

This take sounds reasonable ... until you consider the 'make up' free throws at the end of the game that the refs give out to make the FTA totals look similar.

I.E. - after a huge disparity to one side through the 3rd period, suddenly the team that "rarely creates contact inside" was awarded 16 FTAs (to just 11 for MIL) in the 4th period.

It's all bogus.   That was just to disguise the disparity earlier, that put the game out of reach.

The Cs were in the penalty just 4 minutes into the 3rd.  We had 4 of our most important defenders (Horford, Brown, Morris & Semi) all playing with 3+ fouls by the end of that period.

When you have that many fouls it dictates how tightly you can play defense.  It dictates who the coach can put on the floor.

And when the other team is in the bonus and constantly going to the free throw line, it dictates that you will almost always be starting your possessions against a set defense.

NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

Both of you are right.

Yes, I believe!!

But, we have to win Monday night. If not, sadly this series is over.

Yeah if we go back to MIL down 3-1, we're officially done. We probably already are, BUT to have a chance we absolutely have to win Game 4 and also at least guarantee another game at TD Garden this series. Then who knows, maybe they can steal 1 more at MIL? Not likely but still possible. We've seen stranger things happen.
Not officially. I think they have to win one more.

Plus there have been other examples, like 1968 and 1981 where we trailed Sixers 3-1 and came back to win Series.

Anything is possible!!

Although I’d share your gloom if we fell down 3-1.

If we fell behind 3-1 and were flat again in Game 4, then it would likely mean we've given up and we reverted back to the inconsistent regular season C's. If they don't show urgency tomorrow night, then I don't know what to say. Got to play a full 48 minutes and need to knock shots down. The refs are going to continue screwing us whether we like it or not, but we've also got to play smarter and adjust.

I believe we’re in a heap of trouble.  I’d say we have about  10% chance of winning the series but I’ll watch until the end.

We could show urgency, play our best game and still lose.  The buck might just be the better team.

I beleive this goes 7 and we’ll win.  If we lose to turds like Middleton, hill, and Bledsoe, we deserve it

Yes,

Get back to playing defense, and please no more 15 no pass possessions per game.

also, i would love to see an occassional double team on giannis, that has to be a part of the game plan, especially while middelton is resting.

Yeah that's the underrated part. The refs sucked but to be fair, so did our defense. We let them get 123 and if it weren't for garbage time they probably could have put up 140 on us. A lot of it came from leaving guys WIDE open behind the arc. We lost a 12 point lead very quickly before halftime because of that.

I believe if they win Game 4 this goes 7.

If the Bucks win game 4 it is over in game 5.

I could see this being how the series plays out depending on the results of game 4

Going small never works.

Start Baynes and play Williams.

I keep saying this. I don't care about Williams' shortcomings when it comes to rotations. This team is getting lit up from 3 point land anyway. All i care about is Williams protecting the paint. We're going up against the most relentless player attacking the paint in the entire NBA. We need someone in there who can reject this guy or make him think twice. Baynes and Theis are not going to cut it. It's time for Stevens to play Williams or else this series is toast.

Williams is definitely not the answer

I beg to differ.

I actually did the summary on here, but Boston went from up 1 to down 8 in the last 4ish minutes of the 3rd quarter and each team had exactly 6 foul shots (3 fouls on each team).  The difference was Boston didn't hit a shot, while Milwaukee did not miss a shot.  And those shots by and large were deep 3 pointers (from both teams).  Boston let the game get out of a hand, by quite simply settling for long shots and things like floaters in the lane that just didn't go in.  It had nothing to do with fouls or foul shots.
