Harden went to the line 14 times and is complaining he didn't get enough calls. Budenholzer's team shoots 16 more free throws than the Celtics but is complaining they didn't go to the line enough.

Dang it it's NBA Playoff basketball. It physical and tough and the refs tend to let the guys play more and call less....normally. Geesh guys, put on your big boy pants and go play basketball.

See, I care less about this than the constant ticky tack calls in favor of Milwaukee, especially Giannis. We are primarily a jump shooting team, so we’re not going to draw as many fouls. However, we’re also a really good defensive team, and both Al and Baynes and two of the most fundamental defenders in the league. The fact that they can play perfect, fundamental defense and still get called for a foul when Giannis charges himself at the basket recklessly is ridiculous.

Granted, I do get upset with the lack of offensive fouls we get on Giannis’ drives, and the fact that they let him travel all over the place constantly.

I just posted this in Playoffs thread:

"Yeah, I hate that foul hunting style of play. I'll be very happy if the refs call the playoffs like they did yesterday. Giannis and Hardin are too good to get all thee crazy bailout calls. One of my favorite things about Kyrie is that he try to make every shot and not flail trying to draw a foul every time down the floor. It's the playoffs, time to put on your big boy pants NBA!"

Yes it has nothing to do with the fact that the celtics is the worst team at drawing fouls. Or that we could go in and out of paint and the Bucks couldn't have cared less. At the same time celtics were willing to give as many fouls as possible than letting easy buckets.

The officials stunk this game, and so many phantom fouls on Giannis to bail him out.  How did Lopez not get a tech with that whinning if our guys look at a ref they get them.

for people who,really know basketball ...this type of stuff becomes unwatchable .  It is blantant favor to the NBA biggest star ....because he sells the most merchandise and provides the highest TV ratings , we have to satisfy the zillons of 10 year olds and masses of dummies pulling for LeTurd .  He should have to earn his points like all the rest of the players .

All this blantant favoritism is a distraction and sore for me trying to watch an sports event.

Still, I feel the refs clearly are letting teams playing a more physical style overall in the playoffs, as usual, and this will only benefit the Celtics.

This doesn't get mentioned much, but the rule changes calling more hand check fouls during the regular season may have been a contributing factor for our decline in defensive ranking and overall struggles this past season. I know it affected all the teams, but seems to have hurt us disproportionately. Any alleviation of this should benefit us.

i agree. there are times when the nba resembles pro wrestling to me. aside from the celtics, i find the nba basketball game to be unwatchable. i prefer college basketball.
