Oh wwoooowwwwwwwww! Bob Myers up there crying talking about KD's injury saying it's an Achilles injury, though he doesn't know the extent of it yet. Looks like it's definitely an Achilles rupture.

Wow, that totally affects free agency now, especially ours (to be selfish lol). This may make it that much more likely that Kyrie resigns now, as KD will likely stay in GS on his final year of his contract or sign a long-term contract there now.

Yikes. It's definitely serious. Myers up there trying to deflect blame off the organization now knowing that he's likely suffered a career-altering injury in a 3-1 Finals series. Man, this is crazy.

He most likely begged them to play and wanting him to possibly reup they finally let him. Big mistake!

He and the Warriors can make up for it by offering him the full max, even if he misses a year. With what KD had to endure, and all the discounts he took, this has to be the right thing to do by him.

That is devastating to see. I feel for Bob Myers.

Just heard Windhorst's interview - sounds like it's really bad.  He absolutely should not have been playing but it sounds like he may have pushed the issue.

Man - not to be selfish or revel in Durant's injury - but this probably benefits us in a major way. It significantly shakes up free agency, and it likely disallows Kyrie from teaming up with Durant in NY or Brooklyn, given that KD is very likely to stay in GS now for the foreseeable future. As Kawhi is very unlikely to team up with Kyrie in NY (or even seriously consider NY or Brooklyn at all), this means that trading for AD would allow us to give Kyrie the best opportunity to win with another superstar in tow.

The problem is even after all of his talk about winning, wanting to be the leader of a title team, wanting his banner in the rafters, etc., it's very unclear whether winning is Kyrie's top priority at this point, which is why Brooklyn may be attractive to him.

Wow I feel so bad for him. That’s messed up—he was trying to show his teammates he cared and instead (likely) ruptured his achilles.

But what if Kyrie wanted to play for his hometown team in Brooklyn.

How Knicks is this? They are seemingly about to finally land the all-time great talent they’ve longed for (sorry Melo), and he suffers a devastating injury in the Finals.

I don’t care what he said or did to get into uniform, he had no business being out there. I thought the original injury last month was Achilles-related, and coming back too soon would put him in serious jeopardy for a potentially career-altering injury.

Durant's injury may look similar to Kobe's Achilles injury. And that changed his career.
