Look I know it’s bash Kyrie night and be definitely is having a horrible series, but where’s the help? Where are these “superstar” potential players that we had? Nobody else had 20! I agree that Kyrie was messing all the way up which indicates to me he a a solid 1b player who needs a 1a player.

I don't know.  When I look at the box scores, I'm surprised, it seems like overall, outside of  Kyrie, enough of the other guys have stepped up enough that the C's could win.

Game 3:
Horford had 17/8/5, 4/8 from the field, 3/5 from 3
Tatum had 20/11, 7/14 from the field
Brown had 18, 6/12 from the field, 3/7 from 3
Morris had 16/8, 6/8 from the field, 4/5 from 3

Game 4:
Horford had 20, 8/16 from the field, 3/8 from 3
Tatum had 17/10
Brown had 16, 5/11 from the field, 2/5 from 3
Morris had 18/14, 5/10 from the field

If you just showed me the Celtics box score (without plus/minus), and asked me if I think they won or lost based on just seeing the C's stats, I'd think there's a good chance the C's won.  Getting between 16-20 from 4 different guys on mostly non-bad shooting, with at least a couple of guys hitting well from deep, ya that seems like what the winning side of a box score should look like to me.

sorry,   i didn't realize where it came from.  he's a producer on felger and mazz and definitely has someone in the celtics front office he talks to.   i thought it was his source.

Going to be a long wait till this all gets settled though 

The next ~2 months are going to be tiresome.  Lots of Kyrie and AD talk.  Probably won't be resolved until after July 4th.

I think the situation might be known at the draft, but that's probably the earliest.

and it would have been if Kyrie wasn't having god-awful shooting nights and insisting on continuing to chuck bad shots when he's ice code.  Hayward returning to being a wallflower on offense also sank this team.  I don't even bother with Rozier since he's been a complete waste all season.   

That's the 3 primary ball-handlers on the team having horrifically bad offensive games.  Not just their bad shooting but bad passing, TO's and not running a good offense for the guys who were having better shooting nights.  C's won't win without at least one of those guys stepping up and having a good game.

This team would do well with a more balanced PG. A Chris Paul type of player, a guy who gets players more touches on the offensive end. A PG that puts players in a position to find their best opportunity. Create ball movement.

I kind of agree with this part of your post.  I don't think being a team leader comes naturally to Kyrie.  I don't see that as a knock against him, it is just who he is.  He is an amazing talent, and he can distribute the ball.  But I don't think he is a great match for Brad's system, and Kyrie's biggest talent, going ISO and making tough buckets, although helpful to the team, tends to make the other guys on our team stand and watch too much. 

It would be an interesting alternate universe where Chris Paul was our point guard the last two years.  Both him and Kyrie got injured last year, both played well this year.  Even though I don't like CP3, his skill set might have been a better match with our team.  Alternate universe stuff I know, but interesting to think about.

TP for posting all the stats.  I was saying the same thing in another thread.  Our other starters have produced well enough for us to get wins.  When KI is shooting 22%, 36%, 32% and dominating the number of shots taken each night it hurts us.  Then Kyrie says he should have shot 30 shots last night.  That can't go over well with the rest of the starters / roster when it was obvious Kyrie didn't have it last night.  If I was Morris / Brown / Al that comment would really give me pause.  The other side of the coin was he did have 10 assists, but that further proves that other guys on the teams were making shots.  Maybe some games it is best if Kyrie has 20 assists and 10 shots. 

The thing I expect a leader to do in that situation is find other ways to make an impact on the game, set your teammates up, kick it up a notch on def, be a decoy on offense since the WHOLE bucks team is waiting to collapse on you.  Since your other team mates are hitting shots, stop taking so many shots and give your team a chance to win.

I don't know, I was a pro-kyrie guy all season, but it has just been so obvious in these last 3 games that he has a hard time adjusting his game to make the team better.

I think Jalen's rant here touches on the real problem.  They've played one way for Brad's entire tenure. Now you get a ball dominating star player and that messed everything up.  But Kyrie had lots of help in the failed expectation department. 

This is why I'm fine either way with Kyrie staying or leaving.  He could attract Davis, but keeping him means the team really needs to change. 

I think Stevens and Ainge could figure out the supporting cast eventually, but the only way I'm considering this (if I'm ownership) is if Kyrie will commit to staying at least 3 years.  Might be easier for all involved for him to leave and take a step back, at least in the near term.

Don't want to hear Irving saying "we" need to play better when he went 7-22 and 1-7 on 3s in the game during the interview after the game!

In fact, Irving has been terrible the last 3 games - don't have the stats for the last 3 games handy but saw the Dallas Morning news article.   Irving has been flat out terrible.

Yes, the bench didn't help any in game 4 but when your "star" is doing virtually nothing on offense, then it is hard for the "team" to get the win.

Don't expect the C's to pull out the series and as I have said before, I won't miss Irving if the decides to leave.  Don't appreciate his lack of leadership ...

Outside of brown i am not much of a fan of anything the last 3 games.

But Kyrie is not blame number 1...he isnt even blame top 5
