Hayward is trash
Horford is aging quickly and doesnt hold his own at center
Tatum has arguably regressed
Terry might be one of the worst players in the league playing consistant minutes
Baynes is always hurt
Smart has been out

But yeah...Kyrie sucks....

Sigh

Hayward has been awful, but your comments on Horford are not connected to reality. Tatum may not have gotten better, but he is a solid starter. Brown has been very good, and Morris has been fairly competitive too.

Kyrie is the star of the team, and he has been awful. If he had an average game last night, we might very well have won.

What particularly bothered me last night was his lack of leadership, which should be there when your shot betrays you.

He visibly moped much of the night, and last night was his worst defensive effort in the series. He actually has the talent to be a plus defender, but last night he gave up on plays as soon as someone got a step, and he constantly just stood and watched instead of working the play to the end.

The team succeeded in game one because the wings were digging at Giannis's spin moves almost as soon as he turned on Horford. Kyrie and Tatum were there on time in game one, but we haven't seen the effort since, and once Giannis gets going, no one is going to be able to stop him.

On Horford - He is far better when he can play at PF, there is a reason this team is much better when Baynes plays significant minutes, and its not because Baynes is so darn good.

Little wonder that Kyrie is down too, most of the team is down and has been. Kyrie is down cause if he isnt 100% offensively the team will lose cause no one else will take any load.

The number 1 error on the season is lack of chemistry. I have been convinced all season that Terry has been an issue, Morris one as well, although to a lesser degree, and I think tatum/Brown are in there as well. Tatum has been gifted the starting SF spot since a rookie, even though, at time, he is outplayed by Brown...yet Brown remains on the bench.

Kyrie is NOT the issue here, sure a part of, just like everyone else wearing the green and white.

Then add in the truth that the league has an agenda for Giannis and allows him to do whatever he wants and the disappointment will set in.

I think Danny will be forced to make changes. this as constructed will not work.

This team is soft. They do not like to go to the rim. don't finish at the rim and settle for tough or long outside shots.

Defense is really nonexistent. No physicality at all.

The bench did have an epic collapse for sure, but all of the other starters did their job offensively last night. We lost because of Kyrie and Hayward. You could blame Smart and Rozier for terrible performances too, but they are role players.

Hayward never being the player we all thought he could be has crippled this team.

Rozier v Kyrie drama inside the locker room has contributed.

Kyrie's helter skelter attitude has been difficult. Brown to me has been at odds with him.

Trade rumors just killed anything growth for Tatum.

Kyrie is not an easy guy to be around and that sets the tone for the team.

Brad has had no idea how to handle it all.

I agree with johnnygreen about Irving’s mechanics.  He is totally off balance and drifting on his jumpers and all of his layup attempts are like trick shots with tons of spin.  I wish he’d simplify his mechanics and learn to square up like Thompson/Redick.  Save the fancy stuff for when it’s absolutely necessary or he’s on fire.

Kyrie is a ball dominate iso player.

Stevens offense is at its best when the move the basketball to dictate who is open to shoot.

I do not think Kyrie returns to Boston...and in the end it will be best for both parties.

Kyrie is an anti-Celtic type of basketball player. This team would do well with a more balanced PG. A Chris Paul type of player, a guy who gets players more touches on the offensive end. A PG that puts players in a position to find their best opportunity. Create ball movement.

Kyrie is a talented, one on one, tough shot maker, but his continual desire to be an NBA Superstar makes nobody on a team better. I can't imagine paying this guy hundreds of millions to merely give him a stage to perform on.

Well that is very wrong, Kyrie has averaged more assists this season than any single season in his career, and had a 1.8 assist per game uptick in numbers.

And the second highest Assist % his entire career.

which puts him 6th this season for qualified guards.

And he plays with many other passing players.

I begin to think that alot of posters who make stuff up about Kyrie just dont like watching a superstar play. Dont like that "its my time" type of attitude...or that superstar attitude.

Whoa. Jason Williams, a Duke guy and general Kyrie supporter, on @FirstTake: “This year has been an atrocity for Kyrie.”

Who is James Stewart?

He's just posting what Jalen Rose said on one of those ESPN shows.

He was quoting him, not really stealing though he didn't say whom he was quoting. Just trying to rile people up for the radio show.

Going to be a long wait till this all gets settled though  :(

The next ~2 months are going to be tiresome.  Lots of Kyrie and AD talk.  Probably won't be resolved until after July 4th.

After this season...i am keeping my expectations very low. Whatever happens happens. I am worn out from this team.
