I like the idea of Beal in green, but he makes 25M per year. The logistics of trading for him are about the same as trading for Davis. Who would you give up for him?
Wouldn't it take something like Brown, Smart, Yabusele to make it work? Is it worth it?
Beal makes $25.4 million this year, $27 million next. So depending on what side of July first the trade happens, you need to match one of those salary figures.
That means if Kyrie and Horford head elsewhere, about the only trade that makes sense is sending Hayward for Beal, which most likely means sending a whole bunch of draft picks.
But that leaves you only Beal, the Jays, Smart, Williams and spare parts to have a team with. Just do not see why anyone would want Beal, a SG/wing when we have the Jays. Trading for Beal is nothing more than a slight upgrade over a healthy, Utah like Hayward.
