Yeah I'm pretty much on board with giving Rozier and Morris Pom-poms and rolling with a tighter rotation. Ditching those chuckers in favor of better players and/or someone's who will play a role and stay within it.
Kyrie, of course, is on an all-NBA tier by himself on this squad.
And we have 2 more max guys who are paid that for a reason. We shouldn't let Horford not be aggressive offensively. Gord is rounding into form, though he may need encouragement to be aggressive.
And if these vets are carrying the load and handling the ball, they each can pass and make plays for others. Playing them together should make us a pretty good playoff team.
The nice thing with a trio like that is you can fit almost any 2 other players around them, but Smart and Baynes are perfect.
And yes, that leaves everyone else with a bench role, which is one heck of an all-rookie scale team. Among them, its clear Rozier wouldn't leave enough shots for anyone else. Tatum and Brown are the (redundant) 6th man scorers. There are only enough shots for one of them. I guess I'd roll with Brown, Tatum, and Theis as my bench 3.
It would take stones to bench Rozier and Morris in contract years, but replacing them with Kyrie and Hayward is no insult.
Them not beating out Smart, Tatum, Or Brown might be.
