I'm sure some opinions on who's the blame will shift.

Enjoy.

I'm about 10 mins in, and this is really fascinating stuff.

Anybody who might be intimidated by the length (29 mins) or the overall demeanor of the scout, I'd suggest watching it at 1.5 speed at least.  Makes it so much smoother.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Yes, yes, yes...thank you for this. This is exactly why I say I rarely watch the ball. It's also why I said Stevens should've been tossed or blown these guys up. The defensive principles are lazy. Our closeouts are pathetic...either guys leaping or blow byes...just stay in your defensive posture. Great film

So does anyone care to give a quick synopsis?

Honestly, man, do yourself a favor and watch it when you have time. It's really good stuff and it'll help people that don't really know all the the finer details of help defense.

Lots of out of position on D, poor or no communication, lack of hustle on D (e.g. Getting back) and/or attempted back court steals leading to out of position half court d, bad shots/not looking or finding open player, out of position offense.

Good film of a lot of mistakes. Would've been a big night for Wanamaker, Semi, and the other dude...Yabu... if Stevens had had enough.

This is why I keep saying snatch minutes if guys aren't going to play right. One thing about bench players is they will follow principles because they don't get the minutes to freelance.

I only have blamed Stevens because guys should've been pulled from that game and many times throughout the year.

You wonder why it’s going on. They surely know better; they knew how to do it last year. Why are they giving up like that?

My impression is Stevens thinkswtring them fail is supposed to teach them something; they see failure sucks, they have to decide to do better. Whatever he’s doing, so far it isn’t working.

I wish I could have made this video, but nice to see that we had a lot of the same takes.

Some good explanations on defensive stategy as well.

TP to the OP. Very insightful video.

Rozier and Morris looked really bad in particular.

I agree with others, bench guys that keep playing lazy. Lots of blame to throw around on his team from players to the coach.

That was fantastic. I'd definitely agree with the advice upthread that you can speed it up a bit. I've got it at 1.25X.

But this was a great analysis of the game.

If the puppy misses the paper there should be a correction. This team needs some tough love. Is Stevens up to the task?

Everyone understands that players are seldom perfect, but we may have a case of too much youth here.

Sometimes I get the feeling that Danny is showcasing players for a big deal on the horizon and this season is a throwaway.

What's wrong with the C's?

No Kyrie and no Baynes.

As has been noted in other threads, CBS did yank both Rozier and Brown after big mistakes last game.

He should generally do that, but the regular season for a team like Boston is primarily about preparing them for the playoffs. Letting them learn through adversity and develop mental toughness is an important part of that.

I've always thought coaches should leave players in a play or two longer after some bad plays before taking them out.

Great vid. Rozier and Morris really bring the team down with their selfish/lazy play. And Tatum, as talented as he is on offense, still needs to develop defensively.

Horford seems to almost never make mistakes. Smart, even with his few mistakes, is a pretty great team defender too.
