Why's everyone burying the lede - Sixers got Boban, aka one of the PER leaders of all time.

BOBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!

In all seriousness we'll need Baynes to be healthy when we play them, or he's gonna suck up a lot of boards.

I cannot see why they would turn that down.

They'd turn it down because they'd be getting just a single lottery pick and one lottery talent.

Maybe they love SGA and think he's a star, but I don't see that package as that great. Now if they jump into the top 4 of the 2019 draft, then their offer looks like it'd get a listen.

I would still consider Harrell a lottery level talent, plus SGA is 2 lotto level players, an unprotected first from Miami that will most likely be lotto, the philly first which could be decent if Harris or Butler leave town, plus another first rounder plus 4 second rounders, plus capspace.

Harrell is a very very good young player. SGA looks like a great young prospect as well.
A undersized Cs who command 12 million over 2 years to lottery talent over one half season?

I can't say I agree with your assessment.

He is a lotto level talent, doesnt matter if he is undersized or not, he produces.
I have some Ed Davis I'd like to sell you then.

Also some Leon Powe memorabilia.

Davis and Harrell are nothing alike, other than Height I guess.

I'm still not worried about Philly, especially if Kyrie is healthy. Should I be worried?

I understand Ainge, Morey, Ujiri, Hinkie, Nelson, ect. all subscribe to the notion talent > fit, but I think there's a talent threshold that justifies the consolidation of players that will be this expensive and Philly's four stars aren't it. They have two guys who arguably defend the same position.

Sixers are not a great defensive team. Who guards Kyrie in the line up? Reddick?

Boston can throw bodies at Embeid.

Yeah but now Kyrie has to guard someone who is tough too.

I do think this helps their specific match up with Boston. But given that that BOS/PHI are very likely 3/4 seeds in some order I don't anticipate a repeat match up. (until the ECF, but I like Raptors/Bucks to beat the 76ers with some pretty high certainty)

Scal on NBA radio mentioned that Philly "may have" leap-frogged Toronto, Milwaukee & Boston with this trade. I'm not sure I agree but they are pretty formidable. They obviously went "all in" BUT if Butler and/or Harris walks after the season they gave up a ton, especially that Miami unprotected pick.

Boston's worst path would be as the 4 or 5 seed playing the Sixers in round one, Bucks in round 2 and then the Raptors in round three. They have to avoid that run at all costs. They need someone else to eliminate one of those.

Oh yeah playing the 76ers in the first round would be bad. But I don't anticipate that because I don't think the Pacers will win enough to get to the 3rd seed.

Its possible but I don't see it. (3-4 since Vic went down, I think they'll likely continue to play around .500 ball which should drop them into 5/6 zone)

Really interested to see how the chemistry works with Philly now.

This trade really has the potential, on paper, to give them a legit chance to win the East  OR this thing could blow up in their face.

Nice haul for the Clippers. I'll give them that much.

I could be wrong but i remember Harris playing well against us- which sucks.
No often you see a guy at his level moved around this much, its his 4th team in 4 or 5 years.

Harris has killed the Cs. Good move for Philly. Curious to see if they max out both Butler and Harris this summer.

Danny has got to do something right?

I mean, this really has the potential to put Celtics out of the playoffs in the second or even first round.

That would be disastrous for keeping Kyrie

Maybe others have brought this up. Maybe not.

The Clippers can now offer Gallinari, Gortat's expiring, Shai, and several first round picks for Davis and Hill. Shai would be better than any one piece the Lakers have to offer. The Miami pick could be really high. Frankly, the Philly pick could be high too depending on if they are able to resign Butler and Harris.

Then the Clippers can offer Leonard the max in the off-season. That would leave them with Leonard-Davis-Williams-Harrell-Hill-Robinson-Shamet, and possibly one of Beverly, Teodosic, or Muscala. Then, they could use a full MLE to sign another piece at guard and fill out their roster with minimums.

The Clippers have the most assets to offer for Davis right now. Depending on the Pelicans' priorities, their offer might even trump the Celtics, if they like Shai more than Tatum and they value cap relief.

I feel like not only will the celtics need Brown and Tatum to develop further, Hayward will need to get back to close to Utah form.

For starting and defensive assignments
1. Kyrie guards Reddick. Kyrie is quick enough to keep up with Reddick??
2. Brown covers Butler
3. Tatum on Simmons. Tatum can switch and use his length to help others too, since Simmons wont shoot a 3.
4. Hayward on Harris
5. Horford on Embiid....duh

If we can have those 5 starting  and even just keep the game close, our bench and depth should win the game: smart, Morris, Baynes
