This also might help the Kings make the playoffs

Hopefully this forces danny to go get vucevic

Otherwise I dont like the deal for us, love it for philly

Philly now has arguably 4 allstars....nd if we really want to keep Irving and have a team that Davis wants to be a part of we need to win games. Philly, Toronto and Bucks are are arguably better than the celtics now and its very possible this team gets bounced in the second round.

That would be terrible in relation to the impression of this team and the potential to retain Kyrie and attract Davis

Cs are still the best team in the East. This is a desperation move by philly. They knew they couldn’t compete, so they emptied their cupboard for a player with an expiring contract that will get huge offers this offseason. Either they are planning to trade Butler too, or they knew he wasn’t going to resign unless they did well in the playoffs.

You think Harris is going to go from 1st option to 4th option well?

Nah, philly might walk into next season with nothing.

They might. But it is far more likely that they keep it all together too. And they get good players running to them for cheap to fill out team.

Players are not as concerned with first or 4th option as much imo in this age of superteams.

Philly has a great core right now

Excellent defense, outside shooting, paint scoring.

Scary team to face right now. Very scary

This makes the Sixers dangerous this year but to me it doesn't really vault them past the C's, Milwaukee, and Toronto.  And I don't see it working out long term for them.  Their Big 4 are all still either in their prime or establishing themselves as players.  I don't see anyone in the initial Big 3 who will be happy to sacrifice touches and shot attempts long term.  They better hope they go to the finals this year because I think there will be some turmoil before long.

That’s a scary unit. We will need brown and Tatum at their best to have a chance.

Philly still doesn't scare me.  Embiid is an elite talent, a generational type player.  Otherwise, the move smacks of moving around the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Pretty much.  Harris is a very nice player but it seems like everything that he adds other than the great 3point percentage will be subtracted from the other players.

Nice deal for the Clippers. Getting that for a pending free agent is a strong haul.

The worry for Philly is chemistry. On talent, it’s a no brainer.

Good pick up for Philly. I've always thought Tobias Harris was good player. Not quite sure what the Clippers are thinking but this could be good news for our Clippers pick. Now we just need Sacramento to cool off a little bit and for Memphis to continue being bad but not too bad.

Philly building answer to GSW!  Heck of a matchup!  Their starting five now is equal to anyones.  Bench is a little shallow, but with TJ, MScott, Boban, Korkmaz I think it's enough.  Don't need to sub much for that starting group.
DA has just been TOO patient getting us to a championship caliber team.  Philly has been "going for it" since their tanking days, and now it's come to fruition.  No AD, probably no Kyrie, draft picks losing value.  It's all slipping away.........

Great trade for both teams. PHI gets stronger and this puts them back in the mix since they were trending downwards recently, and Clippers could be preparing for a huge offseason with Jerry West leading the show.

Clippers are pushing in on a Davis trade right now.

Expirings, youth and a load of picks they can offer, and still maintain max capspace to add more in offseason.

Gallinari, SGA, Harrell, Miami 2021 unprotected, LAC 2021 unprotected, Philly 2020, philly 2 - second rounders, 2 second rounders from LAC for Davis and Hill

I cannot see why they would turn that down.

If they dont want the 1 year of Gallinari, they could take Gortat and Bradley instead and still have around 55 mill in capspace. ( i am sure they could make more)

I will be shocked if Davis is not in a clipper uniform by end of week

Very good deal for both sides.  The Clippers have been reeling for a while, and it was obvious they weren’t going anywhere with this core.  They get some extra assets (the future Miami pick could be gold), and still have the cap space to go after a big name in FA.  Stinks for pick as it will most likely roll over until next year now.   Hopefully they retool enough in the offseason to make the playoffs next year.

For the 76rs this takes them up a notch, and if they re-sign both Harris and Butler in a way it protects a potential Butler decline as he enters his 30s, and Harris enters his prime.  They still hold onto Fultz too in case he ends up being anything after he recovers from his injury.  The upside for this team is really good.
