Hey Kyrie, you know Danny Ainge is a jerk, right? He'll trade you in a heartbeat if it will benefit his team. The market is bigger here in NYC, and you can play in the Garden more often. You won't have to put up with young players that want a larger role--no one chomping at your heels to take over the team. We can offer you the same contract, but the endorsements in NY will be better than in Boston. On top of that, if you come here, another marquee free agent will also surely follow you! This can be your team, really your team, and you won't have to share the spotlight. You can bring Durant with you, right? Or Kawhi? We'll draft who you want to play with... Next season we'll roll out with You, Kawhi, RJ Barrett, Kevin Knox(he's pretty good!) and your choice of Mudiay, Smith Jr, or Frankie Smokes. Oh, you don't want Smith Jr. on the team? Fine! We'll trade him for assets. I'm sure he's worth a first-round pick, right? If you can't get Kawhi, we'll spend $ on Tobias Harris! That's surely enough to compete in the east! You don't think Dolan could *mess* up a big 3 of Durant, Davis, and Kyrie? I mean, your solution just moves the need to sell Kyrie on the Durant-less Knicks to the need to sell Durant on the Kyrie-less Knicks. I can see that going great... Lol as if they both (a) don’t have to sell Durant on their bum franchise, and (b) don’t have to win the lottery in a new system that makes winning the lottery much more of a crap shoot and less biased to the very worst team, which they’re clearly gunning for. Yep, easy peezy- just that! 

Besides, you act like simply getting the first pick means NY has the advantage, but that’s very far from clear. Many analysts out there still think Boston has the advantage even with NY getting the first pick, as NOLA really likes Tatum for obvious reasons, especially being a proven prospect unlike Zion, who still has plenty of question marks about his game translating to the NBA.

I really don't see where people would want Zion over Tatum. I see Tatum has having a much, much higher upside and will be the better all around player.

I guess the point of this is that NY's entire strategy is "All the top guys are friends. Let's clear enough space to land 2 top players and hope they wanna come here and play together."

I guess it's not a terrible strategy for the Knicks, who have almost nothing else to go on, but the Knicks are not going to beat the Celtics as a landing spot for Kyrie for Basketball reasons.
