This thread will probably be 20 pages by the end of the season because Gordon will have stretches where he will play well, then he will have stretches where he won't. So the people who have it in for Gordon and thought we overpaid for him in the first place will keep their heads down until you get these bad games when they will make pronouncements on what a useless player he is, while the people who support/sympathize/want Gordon to succeed will seize upon good games as more proof that he's finally on the way back. Then he has another bad game and the cycle continues. Such is the life of a sports fan

I decided to save myself the rollercoaster with Gordon, he is what he is this season, inconsistent, he will have stretches of decent games, and he will have stretches of bad games like tonight. Occasionally he will produce a gem that shows what his ceiling is, but I can't see him reaching that ceiling this year. My hope and expectation is that he will have more good games than bad, and that his teammates support him and have his back through the good and the bad. If you are a team player you want other people on your team to succeed, you don't resent them for taking "your minutes" or taking "your shots".
As Orlando said he did some good things tonight, it's just that those things are easily forgotten when you look at the stat sheet and see 3 points looking back at you and you think about how much he is getting paid ($10m per point! yay say the wits!). Like it or not we are stuck with this version of Gordon, Wyc paid him $30m, that's done. We can't trade him as nobody will take him right now. As long as he is providing a net contribution to the team and contributing to winning, then I'm ok with that.
