...he trades Kyrie to the Lakers before the deadline.

This prevents the Lakers from getting AD as they'd be stuck with the same problem we currently have.

If they resign Kyrie in July they still need to find matching salaries to trade for AD the following year and they'd have even LESS valuable assets to trade the Pelicans for AD.

AD will have to outright sign with the Lakers in the following year/summer of 2020.

Both AD and Kyrie are injury prone (have never played more than 75 games in a single year and averages 68/63 games a year respectively......LeBron will be 2 years older and they won't be coming out of the West (dealing with Warriors, upcoming Denver, Houston, and don't sleep on the Spurs) so C's won't have to worry about them at all.

Laker's will be a pretty good regular season team but they won't sniff the Finals for years to come.

Make it happen Ainge.

This is the "if Ainge is panicking" and not smart scenario.

Stick to the plan, that is the best possible outcome.

What would the Celts get back in return from the lakers?

What the Lakers have is garbage.

Maybe Kuzma is worth something, but other than Kuzma, the rest is garbage.

I'll take Kuzma. He's a stud.

Ball has some usefulness....not sure I want his dad though. Lakers can keep him!

Zubac can play also. More bigs with a post game is needed IMO.

Losing the talent of Kyrie is tough.....but Kyrie is just NOT a Celtic. He's just not. I'm sorry. Maybe I'm wrong but he just doesn't feel like one.

At this point I don't care what "value" we get just as long as we can sabotage the Lakers and Davis's agent and Magic/Rob Pelinka who are all obviously colluding together.

The Lakers would not trade for Kyrie. He already ditched LeBron once, they'd have no reason to think he wouldn't do it again.

At the end of the day, they're all friends.
It's just business.

No need for sabotage or any other shady stuff.

This debate about Kyrie has no end.
But right now, Kyrie is a Celtic.
We will know more once the playoffs start.
Everything changes once it playoff time.

Here is a trade that works for both teams.

To Boston - Millsap (expiring) and Murray
To Denver- Kyrie, Morris, Yabu, 2 #1 picks for Murray

It keeps Denver in the hunt and makes them more of a threat to the Warriors. Denver can still go into FA and grab a player if Kyrie doesn't resign with the money Millsap left.

Millsap and Kyrie contracts cancel each other out. We get Murray and Millsap is a true PF.

Murray
Smart
Tatum
Millsap
Horford

Doesn't make sense for both teams.

The Nuggets will not want to ruin their team chemistry by trading 2 starters.

Boston will not trade Kyrie because no Kyrie means no Anthony Davis.

Sure Celts have some problems, but Kyrie is not one of them.

That will never happen, thank God we have Ainge, and none of these 'armchair GM's,' who like to give away our best player for Kyle 'Kuzma,' of all players.

Bold 1) That's stupid.

Bold 2) That doesn't make any sense.

Underline 1) Really? You think AD would pass on joining forces with Kyrie, and LeBron?

Bold 3) Sure, that makes sense in a vacuum, but name me how many players besides Giannis, KAT, and a select others that haven't missed more than 74 games in a season?

Bold 4) Yeah Lakers will simply hold up the championship trophy while laughing at us hysterically.

Underline 2) FTFY
"I bomb atomically, Socrates' philosophies and hypotheses
Can't define how I be dropping these mockeries."

Is the glass half-full or half-empty?
It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

That's true but the Nuggets have players like Monte Morris and Barton who have played well. They will also be getting IT back soon. Kyrie is better than both of their starters. Kyrie and Harris is a solid backcourt

On paper and on the court sometimes don't end up having the same results.

This current Celtics team is a perfect example.
Before the season started, Celts were the unanimous #1 team in the east because of so much talent and depth.
But when the season started, Celts didn't play like the #1 team in the east.

Right now the Nuggets are very good because of how they're playing.
They have good chemistry.
Jokic is making plays for everybody.
I'm sure Jokic's play will be affected once a guy like Kyrie comes in.

I just don't see both the Celts and Nuggets doing anything drastic right now.
