Maybe just maybe this team wasn't playing up to potential because they know Ainge likes to trade. Now that the deadline has passed everyone can just play
Maybe I’m taking this out of context, but that doesn’t help me in understanding the Laker game.

Ellington signing with Detroit according to Woj

Ugh, too bad. Prioritizing getting enough playing time to get a longer-term deal next summer over winning, I guess.
They cut Ellenson to sign him. Shouldn't C's have some interest in Ellenson? Just 22 might be worth 2 year min for another big man prospect to develop.

I like signing him to two-year MLE deal with a non-guarantee on the second year.

That way, he is a salary-filler. He would definitely say yes, just to get another contract in the NBA, especially considering that might be his last.

On top of that, I always like Ellenson's game. He has a good feel as an offensive player, but he has always struggled a bit with efficiency. Still, he can dribble, pass, and shoot a bit.

And whereas Ellington would have expected to play for us, Ellenson doesn't mess with the rotation. We are the deepest team in the league -- arguably too deep. We don't need any of these real buyout guys.

They had won 10 of 11 before the Lakers game

Shhh. Logic is not welcome here.

If the best of the best don't come here (RoLo, Markieff, Kanter), I wouldn't be totally shocked if Ainge brings Moose back.

He has familiarity and could exploit certain matchups. Best of all, in a potential deal for Davis, Monroe can be used as contract filler, and since he's from New Orleans and is trying to stay in the league, he'd be all for it.

Will the Grizz buyout JV? This would be a better fit than Canter. JV could backup Baynes and a rotation of Horford, Baynes, Theis, JV and Williams is solid.

Probably not, he has another year on his contract after this one.

Ellington is signing with the Pistons.  That's a plus for us since he could have helped the Sixers.

I want Enes Kanter, period.

We need more SWAG on this team.

I know he is limited defensively. I know he can't shoot from deep. But I like his attitude.

Yup.  Agree.

Isn't Abrines still out for personal reasons?
