What exactly is keeping Enes Kanter from being a decent defensive player?  You’d think a guy who knows positioning, has a motor, seems agile and has size, could be a solid defensive big. Those with more technical knowledge than me re: tools that translate to defense, please explain.  Could it be coaching?

He has good form, I’ve always wondered why doesn’t he shoot 3s?

Defense is effort. Some guys only work on one end.

Alex Abrines waived (OKC)

Wow... they HAVE to have someone in mind for that spot.
Maybe Enes..Noel doesnt seem to be the answer behind Adams
That would be my guess as well

I dunno, Nerlens defence off the bench (1.4 blocks and 1 steal in 15MPG) is super important to the Thunder. Not sure if they go for the complete opposite in a guy like Kanter

From what I’ve seen, he’s not agile (defensively) and he has no timing. So he can’t really guard pnr and he can’t protect the rim. He’s a great rebounder though so he can finish possessions. I think beside an Al Horford, he could do well.

Reckon Robin Lopez might get bought out? I'd prefer him to Kanter if we're looking for a backup big

Footwork and attitude are usually what keeps a guy from being solid defenders and lack of athletic ability.

I know nothing about why the Clippers released him, but I know I really like Milos Teodosic. He has a command of the game when he plays. He gets everyone involved and the offense runs really smoothly.

I doubt he'd get much playing time, and I have no idea if he would fit the Cs culture, but it would be nice to have a player like him on the bench. Plus, he probably would sign the two year MLE so we could use his contract in a trade.

I like him a lot too, as he's the perfect contrast to Rozier in terms of getting others involved and running an offense. He just wouldn't get much playing time here. In fact, the last I is that he wants to go back to Europe immediately because he wants to play.

Hopefully C's get Milos Teodosic, as an insurance if ever Kyrie walks away and/or C's loses Terry Rozier as RFA,  Teodosic is a player who has the ability to get teammates involve plus his passing ability will bring a lot of excitement.

Also, hoping they would get Robin Lopez, he's a decent 7-footer who can really play defense.

Lopez, Dedmon or DeAndre Jordan. I'll be happy with any of those 3.

Although I think Jordan is staying put.

Pick 'em all up I say (even though Ainge won't sign a single one)

Also, some of those guys are still playing for their teams (Bradley, Jeff Green, Deandre Jordan, Dedmon, Crawford, Gasol, Kaminsky)
