Kanter is 26, him on the MLE making $5,337,000 is not only nice filler, but an attractive piece to NOP.

Monroe would fit in great on a YMCA league team.

The Celtics spent much of this week going over free agents and potential buyout candidates, so expect them to move fairly quickly once they know who is or will be available.

According to Mark Murphy, we may not be interested in Kanter.

If we sign someone to the MLE for two years, could we trade that player, Tatum, Yabu, Williams, and draft picks for Davis?  Those four players would count for about $18 million which is a few million short.  I'm not sure how much the draft picks would count for or the rules of a player just signed to the MLE.

I'm trying to figure out how we could keep Brown and Smart.

Stevens won't play Kanter anymore than he did Monroe.  His lack of defense is too big of a problem to play meaningful minutes on a contender.

Lack of defense doesn't stop him from playing Rozier heavy minutes each night .

And he can't shoot 3s, so he would limit our offense. He's just not a good fit for the Celtics.

The picks that are translating would count as value in the trade.

So tatum, yabusele, mle (8.6 mill this season, with raises over 9 mill next) will come in at just shy of 20 million.

Davis is at 27 mill next season.

The picks that convey and cash considerations will cover the difference
