Kyrie is going to have to address this publicly.  I think we'll know soon how much validity there is to this.

I doubt it

And his recent injury seems fishy as well

One thing is for sure...the Lakers and their GM Rich Paul are petrified by Boston entering the sweepstakes. They are going everything they can to scare NO into jumping now.

Typical craptastic Lakers.

I read the article, there's one throwaway line about Kyrie in the entire article. Nothing else. Smells fishy to me

LOL. Here we go.

Questioning the legitimacy of an injury is always an indication of unbiased clear-thinking

Media want to make sure they have plenty of NBA stuff to write about during Super Bowl Week.

He's going to get asked about it so he will have to say something about it.  Bucher has a little credibility at least.

Even if he does, some people are still going to believe what they want to as you can already see.

If we're giving credibility to reports, why not Sam Amick?

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Any cap gurus around, if I'm wrong, please correct me.

I don't think the Lakers will have enough cap room to sign Kyrie for the max if they traded for Anthony Davis now. Which means they'd have to wait 'till the summer, sign Kyrie, and then trade for Davis.

But at that point, what's stopping us, or other teams, to field a better offer than the Lakers would?

Again, if my cap understanding is wrong, please feel free to correct me.

This four way trade idea would be interesting... It has come to this it seems like

To Celtics: Beal
To Pelicans: Lakers (2019 1st), Zubac, Caldwell-Pope, Kuzma, Hart
To Wizards: Ball, Ingram

To Lakers: Davis, Irving

Starting
Horford
Tatum
Brown
Beal
Rozier

Off bench
Morris
Hayward
Smart

This right here. The Lakers know we can outbid them and they want to seal the deal before we can get in on it.

They also probably don't want to see Porzingis get healthy either, or see any of those draft picks possibly end up near the top. This is so transparent.

It would be IDIOTIC for New Orleans to make the trade right now.
