At this point I don’t care.

Kyrie is immature. If he wants to stay here and grow up then he can. But he seems like a guy who is never happy regardless of the situation. He can go play in Lebron’s shadow for five years also, I’m just over it.

Kyrie: "I plan on resigning in Boston."
Sources: "He might not because we heard there was a growing sensation of a possible feeling..."
Celtics Fans: "Kyrie needs to grow up. He's never happy."

Rofl. He can only do so much. Bucher is routinely full of nonsense yet people still buy it

I edited my original post because it was a bit too scathing. But I still think Irving has demonstrated some immaturity this year—regardless of whether these reports are true.

I guess I just meant I have come to terms with whatever happens.

I don't believe it, but I also don't want to believe it, so I'm biased.

What I will say is that if Kyrie leaves the Celtics to go become a Laker and play with LeBron, I think that will sour me on the whole NBA thing for a while.

The Celts will be pretty much screwed in that scenario, too.  Might as well just go super young and hope Tatum turns into an even better player than he currently looks like he could become.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I have no idea who Ric Bucher is, nor do I trust Bleacher Report but, since it's been a crazy enough day with unsubstantiated rumors everywhere, let's throw in one more...

"The Lakers may need to get creative to force the Pelicans' hand, but they have reason to be. While the news since last summer has been largely about stars not interested in being LeBron's sidekick—George's decision to re-sign with the Thunder, Jimmy Butler not having the Lakers on his reported preferred list and Kawhi Leonard reportedly favoring the Clippers—a source close to the Celtics confirmed that Kyrie Irving is genuinely interested in reuniting with his former Cavaliers teammate. "That is for real," the source said.

A core of James, Davis and Irving would be enough to get visions of Title 17 dancing in Lakers fans' heads."

When a media guy states this is for real

He is either a nobody or putting his neck on the line

I believe him

Trade Irving. Then trade for Beal

I would trade Irving to anywhere than Lakers. Trade him to the Clippers

I have heard it all now. I mean...

If this would happen I would be done with the NBA. Seems whenever Kyrie comes back from this so called hip injury he has some things to set straight

"As for the notion that Irving isn’t a sure thing to re-sign anymore, reported on Monday by Yahoo! Sports, a source with knowledge of his situation said there is no reason to believe that’s the case."

Ainge get on the phone and try to get Beal or Porzinigis straight up for Kyrie. Keep all the assets and players and keep it moving.

I'm sure Kyrie is wondering how do they play so well without me?

You're joking right? Because clearly those two have done so well....

Looks like Rich Paul has three pronged attack here:

1. Announce AD wants a trade
2. Leak to Haynes AD does not want to go to Boston and that Kyrie wants to leave Boston
3. Leak utter BS that Kyrie wants to play with James again so that might scare Boston away and push AD to LA. ]

This is an utter circus.

So Irving forced his way out of Cleveland so he could crawl to LA a couple years later to be LeBron's water boy?

LOLOLOLOL

He would be the biggest joke ever. Not happening.

Yes, you don't let Kyrie walk out the door. If he wants to leave then fine trade him for a player who is already signed and let the other team deal with it. Keep everyone.

To Knicks - Kyrie
To Celtics - Hardaway and Porzingis

Kyrie for Beal doesnt work

Because Irving wants to join Lebum or go to the Knicks??  He doesnt want to play for the wizards nor will sign an extension

Seems like it has tilted to LA with his movie side gig etc

I think Clippers would take the risk to trade for Irving

Trade for Shai Alexander, Robinson and multi 1sts

Then flip some assets for Beal

Focus on Tatum, Brown, Beal

I wasnt the biggest IT4 fan

But at least he wanted to retire as a Celtic

Kyrie is going to have to address this publicly.  I think we'll know soon how much validity there is to this.
