Lol come on, people. This “leaks” the same day that Davis requests a trade from NOLA. Do you really think there’s not an ulterior motive here? This has Rich Paul all over it.

Good grief.

If you think its all dandy with Irving and Celts (what has happened this season thus far).... then you haven't been paying attention

if you hear him post "Lebron conversation"  interviews.... he sounds soul less.  Like a totally different person

I think Haynes leak has some merit

but could have been exaggerated by the source he received info from

The quick way to solve this is just to go to Kyrie and ask him. If he wants to be traded, trade him now and keep it moving. Ainge has enough assets and young talent to move on.

I would try to get Beal
I would try to get Poetl and Murray from the Spurs
I would try to get Holiday and Randle

If Kyrie really wants to go back and play with Bron he is a fool.

With or without Kyrie, this team is a contender.

Hayward, Tatum and Jaylen. Horford and Rozier. Smart. That is a very good group of players. And would be a lot of fun to watch. Lots of draft picks and opportunities to improve in near future too.

That's why I'm thankful that we have Danny Ainge as our GM.

I'm certain he is on top of ALL of this...more than likely knows what rumors are true / what isn't.

He will NOT hamstring this franchise for ANY player and will do what is best for BOSTON.

"WE" are in the driver's seat here - "IF" AD goes to the Lakers then he simply wasn't MEANT for BOS.

Same with Kyrie - even though it'd bother me if he reneged on his WORD..

Either way Danny's prepared - I'm sure - for any contingency.

In Danny We Trust! It's worked for us so far  ;D

Back to Haynes' report, such a throwaway line about Kyrie. You'd have thought that deserved more explanation than "a growing belief of uncertainty".
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

LA isn't his only option, you know that right? New York can trade for AD and he can just go there as an FA and play with his buddy. I think ultimately, Kyrie wants to play for a fanbase that appreciates him, for whatever reason Boston fans seem to hate him.

TP, potter. These types of leaks all happening in unison means it was a planned media splash to attempt one thing, steer Davis being moved to the Lakers by the deadline.

Pretty obvious, IMHO.

So we're just gonna ignore all of the times when Kyrie talks about playing with this team for years to come?

This is straight from Kyrie's mouth, by the way... time after time, and quite recently at that.  Not some "growing belief" shared by "sources".

Look, he may or may not sign here.  Anything is possible until he officially re-signs.  But so many people are choosing to believe these rumors - and whether Haynes is generally credible or not, that's what this is - over something the player himself said with zero ambiguity.

Waste of time, IMO.

What people believe will depend on how they feel about Kyrie, I suspect.

$35M/year Hayward putting up 2 points per game is not fun though. And I'm not sure about having Rozier as a future starting PG for Boston.

I think PhoSita nailed it.

The whole paragraph reads: "Regarding team preferences, Boston is not a top target for Davis, sources said. There’s a growing belief of uncertainty that Kyrie Irving will re-sign with Boston, sources said, even though he vowed to do so at the beginning of the season."

So there's 2 things there, both attributed to "sources." Different sources? The same sources? Who knows but it reads to me like the "growing belief of uncertainty (::))" is coming from people around Davis, not people connected, in any way, to the Celtics.

Assuming New Orleans doesn't blow this and waits until the offseason to do a deal, by that time the Kyrie thing won't be any issue anymore.

We'll see what AD and Kyrie's conversations at the all star game look like.

New York will save assets for Anthony Davis. They'll have cap to sign Kyrie as an FA if he's interested.
