Is there any doubt we would be better off without him? This year for sure. Probably the next two years as well.

I absolutely would attach 1 first to Hayward to dump him and possibly two future Celtics firsts for Paul Milsaps expiring contract.

It's an issue that Stevens is force feeding this guy minutes when other players clearly deserve those minutes and would contribute to winning more than The Gamer Gordon.

Here’s a better idea. Just have a tough conversation with Hayward about reducing minutes for the time being and go from there.

Seriously, what’s the point of dumping like 3 picks along with a 70-80% Hayward for Millsap?? If injuries mount elsewhere you’re still going to need Hayward.

Face it. He’s still here. And he will remain here.

That is an incredibly shortsighted move for Boston. Also, Denver is 2nd in the West and Millsap is their starting 4 next to Jokic. No way they move him.

There's no immediate pressure to win, unless Kyrie goes back on everything he's been saying and leaves us. We've got a 26 year old top 2 PG in the league, 2 young wings with bright futures, Marcus Smart locked up for the long term and a potential defensive monster in Williams, plus a butt load of picks. Chill
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Who's gonna take Hayward's minutes?

He hasn't been scoring but he has been playing decent defense and running the offense well.

We need a second unit playmaker for the playoffs. A healthier Hayward who has been getting consistent minutes will provide that.

He got the thread right. By adding Hayward it subtracts from the team. Nobody will want Hayward now so I would go with the less minutes until he stops playing scared. I would rather have more minutes for Jaylen. Maybe next year Hayward will become his old self.

Yep, exactly.

If he’s struggling and it’s evident then you can reduce his minutes for said game. Otherwise he can still make an impact.

People act like Rozier and Brown have been lighting it up themselves when they haven’t either. They’ve been solid but inconsistent as well.

The team would likely be better. Hayward is awful. I'm not sure why Celtics fans were predicting All NBA/All Star status from a guy who had one all-star appearance in his career. I would give two future first round picks to dump him. Easy decision. Steve Smith, Wally Szczerbiak, and Jamal Mashburn also have one career All-Star appearance.

Agree...TPs to you and the OP.

Where’s Gordon? (Where’s Waldo?!?)

He’s timid and afraid. Afraid to take it to the basket, afraid to elevate, afraid to shoot. Sit his ass down till he’s willing to grow some.

At this point his play is what it is.   He s under contract and pretty much nothing to do but   wait and see and hope he can play better .  I realize he is painful to watch ,  kinda reminds memof Tlyer Zeller before he was traded   seemed scared of any contact. .  I guess sort of like Cavs fan looked at IT while he was there .  We re stuck and just have swallow the pill.

Yep! I especially love how he glosses over 3 years of roughly 20/5/4 production

Why is Hayward worth keeping?
