There's a reason why the warriors are playing cousins important minutes like tonight even though they were playing better with looney or iguodala.

Its the same reason why we are giving hayward reps.

Come on man. Cousins justI got back from his injury any looks absolutely fantastic for a guy that's been out that long it's almost 300 lb. Hayward has had all year to get comfortable and he still looks terrible dump this guy.

It’s very shortsighted to dump a guy after half a year of playing. Seriously be patient he had his ankle practically snapped in half.

Anonymous Warriors player tells Jeff Goodman: Gordon Hayward is a "liability on both ends of court" https://www.celticsblog.com/2019/1/27/18199617/anonymous-warriors-player-tells-jeff-goodman-gordon-hayward-is-a-liability-on-both-ends-of-court?utm_campaign=celticsblog&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter

Who cares what an "anonymous" opposing player says?

Who cares what an "anonymous" opposing player says? If he feels so moved to speak on it, let him Durant Mr. Anonymous say it without conditions.

If the other team sees it, you should also. When he is in the court they attack him. I know you want him to become good all of the sudden...we all do...but he is a liability.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
And seriously Hayward was not even the reason why the Celtics lost last night but of course need scapegoats to blame whenever the team hits a roadblock.

He scored 2 points. If he scores just 10 they win. He could not defend in the third quarter. Even Warriors players said after the game he is a liability out there.

He gets 30 million bucks a year and we all get giddy when he scores 10 or more points. He is a problem.

Rozier only scored 2 points as well. If he scored 10 or if he didn't look like a turnstyle on defense in the 2nd quarter...  If Brown, Rozier, or Morris didn't shoot 7-24 from the field for the game... We can all lay the blame at a players feet for this loss if we're so inclined, trying to make it all Hayward's fault is overkill.
2021 Houston Rockets

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

To add to that if the Celtics didn’t make costly turnovers they could’ve pulled it off.

What's yours? You like the way his "progression" is going? You like the fact a 30 million a year guy contributes almost nothing out there? You seem to be beating the drum that Hayward is just fine...

Where did I say that he’s fine? This was going to be a recovery year for Hayward. The guy had his ankle snapped in half and was lucky it was a clean break. He also had another surgery which set him back a bit. This is going to be a long process which can only be remedied by playing Hayward.

Please don’t put words in my mouth.

What is the bottom line though. Nobody cares about the process. He is killing the team, and his 30 million looks terrible. I dont care about the excuse of the injury anymore. He reeks, he needs to be benched, not played through.

And I like Hayward and his game, but he looks done at this moment.

He is a long long way away. And the Celtics should treat it as such. The Cs just don't the time to allow him to play through this. He is a massive liability and it sucks. I like him a lot. I want him to be successful and earn his money. But it is not happening this year. And CBS needs to understand that.

Cousins had 5 fouls in 23 minutes and struggled to finish at the rim. I don’t think he looked all that great.

And what are you going to do? Not play him? Not have him gain his confidence? It’s not like he’s out there playing crunch time minutes with the team. He’s figuring things out on the bench.

He was out there deep into the 4th quarter last night. He also on the floor a lot when Boston gives up leads. Figuring it out on the bench is a major issue right now. When that bench comes in they give up the lead. He needs to contribute.

And what has he figured out? He has regressed and we are into Feb. of the season.

The injury is not an excuse for what is happenning. I am not blaming Hayward for anything in terms of the injury. I am telling you what the bottom line is, which is that he is killing the team.

Many of you fans want to give him a pass, or an excuse. That is fine, the excuse is fine too, but the reality is that he either should not be playing or should be shut down for a little bit more.
