Quote
Before pegging Kyrie as not a winning player, watch the 2016 Finals again. NBA tv just rebroadcast game 7. LeBron had an off game. Kyrie made play after play to bring them home. Rewatch the Toronto game from earlier this season when he just hit that gear where nobody is going to stop him.

Kyrie won that game for the Fake GOAT

Again iam not blaming Irving

Lets say this team had Hield and Isaac instead of Tatum, Brown.... and no Hayward but younger Korver, Louis Williams ... argument sake

So lineup is

Williams
Horford
Isaac
Hield
Irving

Korver
Williams
Smart

This is a tailored made lineup for someone like Irving.   Irving can ball hog all he wants while the other players stick to their roles/dont need the ball in their hands to excel

Ainge in some ways is at fault for not anticipating egos/game styles clashing. He is also greedy/scared if Irving is injured or walk...he needs to keep this unit together (including Rozier)

Irving if he can stay healthy and as top alpha hog means Rozier is not going to return. Brown doesnt look happy.... so he likely wont resign

So imo its either keep the "future" core in tact or keep Irving and build lineip to tailor his game

My preference is last seasons future core plus Hayward and Morris... I feel confident such unit can go far

This post makes almost zero sense.

I cannot figure out what point you are trying to make.

Are you suggesting Robert Williams is starting on a team "tailor made for anyone?"

What "argument" are you positing this horrible horrible team for the sake of?
2019 Historical Draft - Golden State

C - Bill Russell/Joel Embiid
PF - Giannis Antetokounmpo/Tommy Heinsohn
SF - Kevin Durant/Billy Cunningham

What a bunch of nonsense!  The thought that this team is somehow better off with the ball in Roziers hands rather than Kyrie's is astonishing.  Sadly this thread was a lock to happen and I fully expected to see it following last nights game.

Everyone plays better. Team defense is better. Hayward actually gets to shoot/make plays.... this team is not built for Irving and vice versa

Trade Irving for multiple 1sts and Jamal Murray or Gary Harris or Buddy Hield or Dennis Smith Jr.

I did not want to comment on this thread because it is a completely ridiculous point, but I did want to say that there is basically nothing that backs up your position triboy16f besides your opinion, which is worth basically nothing.

Kyrie is in all of the celtics most productive lineups, statistically.  Literally all of them.

Offensive rating this year.  Rozier on court 101.9, Rozier off court 114.1, for comparison the best offense in the league so far this year is Milwaukee 113.0.  With Kyrie on court 112.7 and off court 99.5.
Rozier is an offense killer plain and simple.  Kyrie is exactly what is needed in todays NBA to produce a high level offense.  Kyrie's effort and results on the defensive end has also been tremendous.

Ah, resorting to blaming a guy for being injured. Very classy and it makes such a good point ::)

If that’s what you’re stooping to the jeesh, you really do have nothing to back up your opinion except more of your opinion, lol

Not blaming him, just making a point.

Smaller guys like Kyrie and IT get injured more often. That is why I would not resign him.

We need a bigger, stronger star to win the championship going forward.

Like Cousins? Paul George? Gordon Hayward? Porzingis? Big guys who don’t get injured?

There is absolutely zero proof, zero facts, zero studies that this is true in any professional sport. Injuries happen to big players and small players alike in all sports. If what you said was true, small people simply would not be playing sports because professional sports GMs would have that data and never sign small players.

Yet again, nothing supports this. There is no point you’re making
