weird at home the discussions are still on the right, but at work they are on the left.  Why is it in 2 different locations?  I do prefer the discussion list on the right side with the posts on the left.  The banner is large, but ok.

Could be cached.

I'm on a windows computer. I understand wanting the top banner for ads, but most sites don't take up that much space when scrolling down.

I'd think housing the ads in the thread would be both more user-friendly and more effective for advertisers.

I'd also prefer ads in the side bar to the top.

Thanks for the work!

Thanks guys! Yup, if your menus are sticking left you probably got unlucky enough to cache them while they were that way. Clearing browser cache should fix it right away, or they may expire soon on a reload for you.

Mine is stuck on the left.
Clearing cache didn't work.
Opened it on IE- which I never use and it is still on the left.

Should the side tabs(latest discussions) links be moving down as we scroll the page? I have a huge white empty space to the right of the posts once I scroll. Mac, Safari, Desktop looking at now.

Oof.....

That banner at the top of the screen pretty much makes viewing the forums on mobile impossible.

I like the new logo well enough, and I'm not really bothered by whichever side the menu is on. But that banner needs to go away ASAP, it completely ruins everything.

All that said, I do appreciate all the effort being put in to keeping this place going and trying to improve the experience.

Didn't work and when I was at work yesterday everything was still the old system, so this was something that happened on its own.

My guess is that it displays differently for different mobile devices. On my phone, the banners are less obtrusive than they are on my desktop.

If possible could you send me a shot of your mobile screen? I'd love to gather some examples of what people are encountering.

Currently they scroll with the page, but I think ideally we want them to pin themselves once you reach the bottom of the sidebar.

yup, same thing for me.  doesn't matter how I access the site either -- PC, Mac or mobile.  also, the side tabs don't scroll with the page - they stay pinned at the top leaving a lot of white space on the left

My menu is on the left but it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I don't have any problems with the format or the banner space at the top. The one thing I'd say is it looks kind of odd right now the way the banner just kind of dead-ends into the rest of the site. I'm not a design person so I can't say exactly what it is and maybe it's different when there's an ad there but it looks unfinished.

Not that it affects my experience of the site.

My "Latest Discussions" tab is still on the right for desktop but has shifted to the left for mobile.

Still wish the forum interface could get a modernization with mobile support and a notification system, but aesthetically this is pretty clean.  I'd prefer for the banner to stay at the top of the page instead of scrolling down, especially since there doesn't seem to be any function to it.

The old format works better for me. I agree that banner across the top needs to go. Takes up a third of the page. I had to reduce my zoom to get everything on the page horizontally.

Also the sentence formatting is off. I have to go back and get the paragraphs right which previously was done automatically.
