Jaylen needs to stop thinking he's going to win 5 championships before he's 28 and focus on making 5 shots so he has at least 10 points. It feels like this team is getting so far ahead of themselves in terms of how good they think they are - right now they're not very good and need to focus on the fundamentals.

He has jinxed this team... What a stupid thing to say when theyve proven nothing.

This feels like a blowout already. C's are so much slower on defense compared to them.

I think their frustration from the offensive end is affecting their defense.

Definitely. It should be the other way around, too - their defense fueling their offense. That's what has made us good the last several years.

Just no urgency or confidence whatsoever on this team right now, and that's on everyone - both the players and Brad.

This is where the insecurity of youth comes in - when the shots are falling they're on top of the world, when the shots are clanging off the rim the frustration sets in and manifests itself in other facets of the game. This is where our vets need to step up - Kyrie, Marcus, Al, Gordon, they've been around the NBA for a while, we need to rely on them to give the team some composure.

We ought to trade for Carmelo.  He'd be perfect on this team.
We'll be able to sign him after he's cut soon enough! He can teach Tatum how to more of a weak defending bad-shot selecting point scorer
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Jaylen has never understood where the fine line between confidence and arrogance is.

The "Run down chunk up a shot offense" might need a couple of tweaks...

Hey, this is what Brad wants apparently. No offensive actions at all; just everyone taking turns isoing and throwing up midrange jumpers or threes.

What's the point of playing a 5-out offense if (a) nobody is going to hit their shots, and (b) we're not going to take advantage of the spacing it provides and penetrate to the hole?

Our starting lineup needs a shake-up. With Theis back, I think going back to Baynes is probably the best play, and Gordon just has to understand that he can rehab just as well from the bench as he does the starting lineup.

An NBA team is this day and age should be able to score more than 37 points in a half.

One big problem I'm seeing... 1 or 2 guys show up a game and that's it. And usually it's not the same guys either.

Last year felt like we would do everything as  a team with everyone contributing... just sad.

Brads strategy is predicated on players hitting their shots. He needs to figure out a grind strategy when they aren’t hitting their shots.

I think we can reasonably start wondering whether this Celts team has the right chemistry. They are performing far far less than the sum of their parts. Something isn't working and they're not improving. This team should be an offensive juggernaut yet scoring buckets is like pulling teeth.

It hurts that Brad isn't making an adjustment either.

Yep. Need to go back to Baynes in the starting lineup and have Brown or Hayward come off the bench for now, though I'm not sure that nice-guy Brad has that in him.

The point of going this small is to have that offensive juggernaut lineup, but that's not who we are right now, and that's just making our defense suffer, too.

Hayward should get all of his 20 minutes in the second half of games so he can get in a rhythm rather than 5 minutes a quarter....

Jump shot after jump shot

Its like this team has forgotten how to drive and draw fouls.. Get to the FT line if you cant generate points by briking shots then they should drive and draw foul.

I don't know who performance is worse...the Celtics or the "Connection Problem"

This starts from the coach and offensive philosophy. Cs are like dead lost in FTs generated. They play soft and it shows. And I think it has started to make their defense soft too.
