One of the most frustrating things I saw this season that really hurt us in this series that Brown needs to correct, is his habit of driving to the rim and into traffic with the ball low and in front of him. This allowed many many times the defenders to tie up the ball and create turnovers. He doesn't do a good job of protecting the ball and then finishing at the last second which also was much of the reason why he got blocked a fair amount. It also prevented him from getting more foul calls and to the line for easy points. Hopefully someone, especially him, is watching film and can correct this bad habit. I think he would attack the basket even more if he didn't have these turnovers which reduce his confidence. That being said, fantastic year and he and Tatum will be cores on this team for years.

Brown has a bad handle and is a pretty bad passer.

That results in him just putting his head down and charging to the rim when it's often not the right decision. Hopefully he can continue to improve in these areas.

In general terms, I'd have to say a significant lack of skill, not to mention an absence of intelligence (well, at least on the court, anyway, imo). Dude got exposed last night.

Yep. He's gotta get better at finishing, recognizing when help is on the way, and to call an iso if he feels like he has a chance to beat his man. The opposing defense is always ready to collapse on Jaylen because his teammates aren't bringing them away from the paint because Jaylen makes his move too fast, and he doesn't give himself enough space to drive and kick if necessary. He's too reckless.

It's amazing how affective he can be on offense despite his many flaws though. Makes you wonder just how much potential he has.

To expand on this, the bright side is that we don't need him to be someone who can create for himself and others in the half court.

Irving is one of the best in the NBA in this regard. Tatum projects to be elite. Then you have Horford and Hayward who can't be left alone anywhere on the court and who always make the right pass. With the offense running through those guys, Brown doesnt need to dribble much. He can hit 3s, drive closeouts, take advantage of mismatches when Irving or Tatum's brilliance sends a defense scrambling. Then he can be a lock down defender on the other end.

he got exposed as what exactly? He was the leading scorer in the series going into tonight. To me he got exposed as a guy that can get you 20 a night right now in the Conference Finals.

He's still so raw despite the massive leaps he's made since being drafted. You have to be excited about his future.

I love Jaylen, but you are 100% correct about this.  I was screaming at my TV last night to get him out of the game because regardless of what the numbers said, my eyes told me he was just horrid and out of control every  time he got the ball.  It was like he had vaseline on his hands.

Here is my suggestion for Danny (FWIW - nothing)

Package up Jaylen and T-Roz possibly along with a pick and go after KAT.  Anyone think that is a package that could get it done?  Would you do those 2 guys and the Sac pick for him?  I think I would.

Saltlover has not been seen in these parts for a few months.

Can’t see Minnie wanting that swap. KAT is an All-NBA player and the face of the franchise. Can’t trade two or even three of our dimes for that quarter, and the value of the Sacto pick is very uncertain. Plus, the one position they’re strong is wing, with Wiggins and Butler.

Net: I think gets cut ties with Thibs before taking that deal.
