Thursday is the opt out day for Kyrie right? So if anything was going to happen, that's the first day the reports would truly come out right?

He already opted-out, right? (Like 3 hours ago)

That's what I was confused on. Does the opt out technically happen tomorrow? Or is that a deadline and it is official now. Just curious if anyone knows the process.

It's not an opt out, it's an opt in, and he's just confirmed he's noting opting in. No paper to be filed.

I want nonpart of Davis, his "team" has made it very clear he wants to be in LA or NY, we can not waste all of or assets on a Davis trade for 1 year.

Celtics and Lakers are engaged in trade talks with New Orleans on All-NBA star Anthony Davis, league sources tell me, @ZachLowe_NBA, @ramonashelburne and @WindhorstESPN. Lakers No. 4 pick has been discussed as trade chip to help Pels acquire high-level player in multi-team deals.

Rich Paul comparing the Lakers to Jennifer Lopez is creepy IMO.

And his rambling on about Nike etc is pretty obnoxious. Pretty sure Rich Paul cares more about earning a bit more money than he does winning.

Well, money and pleasing his master Lebron.

But this is part of the reason I’d still be okay with trading for Davis, as given that Mook is a Klutch client we could make a quid pro quo agreement that we’d also re-up Mook to a nice contract (like 4 years/$50M) after trading for AD. While technically against CBA rules, this kind of stuff happens all of the time with teams and agents, and this could be the way to handle obnoxious Paul.

So far, Boston has been undeterred in pursuing Davis -- despite his agent insisting AD would be a 2020 flight risk in free agency. For Boston, Davis could still be its best case to keep Kyrie Irving. Story soon on http://ESPN.com

BOOM!

I trust Danny. If he goes for AD, he has to think that there’s a significant chance that we can retain him next year, with or without Kyrie. Block out the noise from Klutch and do what you think is best for Boston.

And the more I hear about NOLA wanting a vet or high-level player in the deal, the more I think that the Capela rumor is tied up with the AD trade. The other night I worked out a few scenarios where we could help facilitate Capela and Tatum to NOLA, though it would cost us Al in the process. But if you could get something like AD and Eric Gordon back, that’s probably be worth it and could just convince Kyrie to resign by giving him a more veteran team to contend with.

Would be the second time Morris had a contract influenced by another player on the roster signing (Markieff in Phoenix).

The wording is funny, are they competing or is Boston facilitating?

There are no rewards without risks.

And keep in mind, Wyc and Co. have to be fully on board with this.
