Can the Lakers even afford him next season without punting another season of LeBron?

Ok great now we can move forward with other plans for the team. Let’s go young 💪🏾

it sounds like klutch sports trying to ruin some leverage.   but,  like i've been saying,   this dude doesn't want to play in boston.    it's not worth the risk.

Shoot you’re right... but then again I wonder what Kawhi will do.

Just like Durant, Westbrook, Love, Derozan and Paul George were all going to end up on the Lakers.

I still wouldn't let this phase me if I were Ainge.

Bahahaha I was wondering when Rich Paul was going to pop up today.

Clearly AD’s priorities are in line (if this is true and not just Klutch posturing). There are two other more competent franchises in those markets, but nooooppppeeeee oNlY lAkErS oR kNiCkS fOr Ad!  ::)

While Kyrie and AD would be nice, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about the drama those two could unfold here next year. It may be worth just going younger with our prospects and build around them than deal with the Klutch, AD, and Kyrie show drama.

It does sound like it’s between lakers and Knicks which have very similar trade packages. I think Boston is just being used as a leverage from griffin at this point. Probably the knicks are refusing to match or beat the lakers offer

Shams saying the Cs are going hard after AD regardless of Kyrie or AD’s commitment. This is classic DA anything less shouldn’t surprise anyone. KG, attempts at CP3, etc.

If we lose out it’s not because DA didn’t try... that said if Kyrie leaves and AD leaves next year, at least the Pels will be fun to watch.

Haha you knew Rich Paul would be making an appearance sooner or later. It’s a big circus. Didn’t AD say he wanted to play for a team with a chance at winning a championship? The Knicks and Lakers LOL...

Too bad Griffin =/= AD or Rich Paul.

Boston clearly has the best package with the best young prospect, and Griffin is going to do what’s best for NOLA, not what AD or Paul would prefer. All this is is a ploy to get him to one of those big markets to maximize his marketing capabilities and not lose that extra year and $50+M should he want to change teams to go there next year.

The question is whether Danny is still going after AD given Kyrie’s uncertainty, not some Klutch sports propaganda.

Just get this done one way or the other before the draft.

Very few players that request a trade end up winning a championship.. remember dwightmare , Paul George ; Chris Paul the list is long.

Kawhi and Kyrie had already won it when they requested a trade.

Go for it.  Even if Davis leaves next year we’ll have Brown and maybe the Grizzlies pick, and if you want trade Hayward, Horford ect for young assets to go for a rebuild.  Not too often you get a chance for the best big man in the game.  Have Davis spend some time with KG and Bill Russell.

Whatever.

I'll honestly just be glad once this whole thing is over. At least by then we'll have a better sense of our future direction after the Draft (whether it's with AD + Kyrie, just AD, just Kyrie, or neither and build around the Jays).

Also, I think if NOP does trade with the Lakers, they'll still want everything (Lonzo, Hart, Kuz, Ball, #4). Not 4 of the 5 assets, ALL of them.
