Here goes a major overhaul!   CBA says we can't make these trades and Tatuma nd Brown fans say hell no!  But interesting....Does it make 2 out of three teams better?

Kyrie
Hayward
TJ Warren
A Davis
Al Horford

Bench
Terry
Semi
Baynes
Theis
R Williams

Suns get Tatum/Morris and lose TJ and Jackson

No LO loses AD and gets
Smart/Brown/Jackson and a handful of 2/3 first rounders?

We resign max out Kyrie and give Rozier Smart money.  TJ warren has a friendly cap and can score plus play the SF/PF spot.   Terry gets to play 26/30 minutes and makes 6th man of the year and we win 2/3 championships!

Does this team beat this team

Kyrie     vs Kyrie
Brown   vs Hayward
Hayward vs TJ Warren
Tautum vs A Davis
AL   vs   AL

top 3/4 off the bench
Rozier vs Rozier
Smart vs Semi
Morris vs Thesi
Baynes vs Baynes

fist of all NO

secondly we can't trade for davis this year with KI on his current contract so it would have to be July 1st (did we sign Morris to make this happen ?  idk)

third, IF anything like this would actually work it you would swap brown to phoenix and tatum to Pels

multiple other issues that i can't get into...like why wouldnt we just trade our guys for A.D....but regardless NO

Doesn’t work this season, so the idea is dead from the outset.

Not sure why we’d do this though. Why would we trade Brown and Tatum + picks for AD and Warren when we can likely have a crack at Brown/Tatum + Rozier + picks for AD next season?

Also lol at Rozier winning 6MOTY. Not happening

I’d move either one for Davis in the offseason.

Of course it would be more difficult than that, but maybe whoever we draft with (presumably) the Grizzlies pick, and someone else, we could get it done. I’d rather keep Smart but he seems like the only contract that makes it easy.

Otherwise we would have to resign either Rozier and/or Morris and wait til midseason. But I think there’s a realistic chance that TR3 May take the QO if offers don’t come in. Can’t really screw the C’s if nobody knows what Ainge is going to do, they may get stuck with him at an outgrageous price. He may just take it and bet on himself having a strong year and leaving for wherever he wants.

Eating the TJ Warren contract and losing both Tatum and Brown is really bad

as with most trades proposed here, it omits the bad in the subject line....

Hard to argue with 4 all-stars in the starting lineup.  Not that I would do it...

Don't want TJ Warren.  A. Davis is the guy we need.  It looks like the Celtics might have a bunch of good 1st round picks to dangle.  So... if we get a top 5 pick, we could offer that plus Brown plus salary for Davis.

Celtics picks:

2019
Philadelphia 76ers’s top-1 protected pick or Sacramento Kings’ top-1 protected pick

Memphis Grizzlies (If pick falls outside top-8)

Los Angeles Clippers (If pick falls outside top-14)

Boston Celtics’ own pick

The Celtics can't trade for Davis until July 1st.  However they could agree to a trade in principle and draft the players for the Pelicans and consummate it on July 1st.

NO IT DOES NOT!

This is a NBA2K trade(Credit to Androslav for the comment), period or Yahoo Fantasy sports and would never work in the real world.

BTW, folks Ainge is in this for the long haul not for one win and out.  He is not going to panic.

Trading Tatum is illegal.

Pretty sure it's against the law.

Trust me, I'm a lawyer.

Just say no to trading Tatum.

Kings pick, Memphis pick, 2019 Celtics. 2021 Celtics firsts

When can we make this trade. Our roster is suddenly thin but ready to go right now.

Horford
Davis
Hayward
Smart
Irving

So we are going to completely ignore cap space now, or is this a hypothetical question?

In theory, if it's just those draft picks and Grizzlies may end up being pretty valuable, so I would take out our Celtics pick. But yes, to be quite frank I would do this trade. Sure draft picks can be extremely beneficial, but that is the risk you take for someone like AD.

Ultimately, offering all those in a lump sum deal doesnt sound too smart, but Davis is a superstar big that you can add to any system.

Ever heard of salary cap rules?  Davis makes 25m.

You'd have to move a big salary, that means one of our 'big 3' has to go out in the trade, either Hayward, Kyrie, or Horford.

Besides I'm not moving Tatum in that trade.  No chance.
