KI and AD is not a shoe in to be NBA champs.

Especially in light of their tendency to get banged up and miss significant time.

These Finals should be a lesson in the importance of having a deep and well balanced supporting cast.

lol AD is telling everyone who'll listen he doesn't want to come to Boston, but some fans are so desperate they're still willing to throw Tatum away based on Paul George. Because hey, there was this one time where I guy stayed instead of going home.

Zero chance AD comes to Boston. I'm sure Win**** or Kyler or someone will throw the possibility out there in the next week and a half, but it ain't happening. Ainge would get fleeced nearly as bad as he did to Brooklyn. There's no way Ainge gets beat that badly in a trade.

You're just saying that because you want the Celts to build around Brown and Tatum, for whatever reason. And I don't believe a word about everybody wanting to play for the Knicks or Lakers.

I would love if you would provide the quotes where Davis actually said he didn't want to come to Boston. There has been reports of it from talking heads, but I haven't read direct quotes anywhere or seen video of such. When directly asked where he wanted to be he made some comment about wanting to be traded to any of the 29 other teams.

Yeah, I even saw a quote saying he'd consider resigning in Boston even with out Irving.

S&T Irving to Nets for Russel in a S&T back(if that can happen)

S&T Rozier for bench help

find the quote of davis saying he would sign with boston and post it.   if not,  i'm calling bs.

They are on my list

Quote from: David Aldridge
I’ve heard that Davis wouldn’t completely rule out staying with the Celtics without Irving, but the odds of him re-upping in that scenario are significantly lower.

You really don’t believe he wants to go to the Lakers????

He’s made it explicitly clear he wants LA or NY

Who said this? Woj on the draft show?

Remember that this is silly season and each reporter has specific sources that they rely on, and it has become clear in the AD saga that Shams has Rich Paul and that gang as a source and Woj has Griffin and NOLA's gang as a source. This could very well just be Griffin's gang putting this out there to continue to try to raise up the prices for AD from the other suitors.

Not saying that it isn't true, as it very well could be, as Danny may have just decided to not put all of his chips in the AD basket. However, I take everything with a grain of salt when it comes to the AD stuff after all of the propaganda and purposeful leaks that we've seen during this AD saga.

Also, I find it funny that there's been little to no mention of Boston in these talks recently, even that they are no longer chasing him. Seems suspiciously quiet on Danny's front.

It wasn't Woj.

They make it sound like Woj was  inferring it by saying Pelicans want it wrapped up well before Thursday and Lakers are most aggressive in pursuit. Wow, if we end up with Conley minus Kyrie and no Davis, I will be beyond depressed. Please don't trade Brown or Tatum to Memphis or I might go MIA for a bit for first time ever.

Yeah, I have been thinking the same thing. There just isn't any mention at all. Seems like 'they' would at least say Boston has backed off.

As far as LAL getting this done, it is not totally crazy. NOP still gets the same decent package they were going to get at the deadline, but this time with the guarantee of a top 4 pick. I understand that Ingram's future being uncertain would have to give them pause, though. If Tatum is still considered the main prize as previously reported, then NOP should just bite the bullet and get the player they want. The NBA is certainly quality over quantity.

Dude, even with a couple of boneheaded moves from Danny, the Heat would certainly not be in a better position than we are moving forward.  ;)

Apparently Woj was saying the Lakers need to get AD because other big free agents don't want to go there.

They definitely would want to push this thing forward quickly because that's their only chance.

Funny thing is I doubt we're even having this conversation if they hadn't gotten lucky (cough) in the draft. They have failed so much since Jerry Buss died, they really don't deserve 1/10th of the attention they get.
