Injuries are going to be the C's undoing...

They have been since 2009..not one single season we completed the playoffs healthy.. 11 yrs and counting...and sincr then Lebron has ruled the East..

and Lebron is never injured.  like he is sprinkled with fairy dust.
Fairy dust?

Is that what they're calling HGH, The Cream, and The Clear nowadays?

Convinced LeBron has been taking steroids but ones that could never be detected. There is no way a player like him would never suffer from major injuries.

Kobe, Dirk, Duncan, PG13, KG, Durant, Westbrook to name a few all have suffered some kind of long-term injuries.

Hurts losing Theis. Felt our bigs all brought a progessive level of skill to physical force type of game.

Horford being high skilled but least physical.
Theis second most skilled but more physical that Horford.
Monroe third skilled and good physical banger (offense).
Baynes most physical with some OK skill.

Yab or Semi will have to get spot minutes at the four unless Tatum and Morris can take on extra minutes there.

I expect Marcus Morris to get more minutes at the 4 along with Greg Monroe at the 5.

Theis was such an amazing find. Perfect complimentary role player. Can defend and can help stretch the floor. He's a big loss for the Cs.

Sucks to lose Theis.  But man, Oladipo took "breaking ankles" to a whole nother level.

Monroe is more skilled than Theis. Theis has no post game to speak of, isn't a great shooter, and an average passer. I mean I'm glad he's on the team and hope he can make it back 100% next year, but the Theis overhyping has become a little silly..

Theis's loss severely weakens the team defense.  Monroe is a much better offensive player but he just can't move defensively because he's not that great an athlete (by NBA standards).  Theis is cat quick, plays great team defense and can rim protect.  Couple his loss with Smart going down and they're going to struggle against good teams.

It'll show up in their inability to get stops at key moments of games.

@$@#$@$# - I knew it when I saw it happen.  I turned to somebody and said "...and done for the season."  It was such a stupid play (with Tommy screaming it was an offensive foul)...it just felt like exactly the type of play that would take an important Celtic out for the playoffs.
