I did not get to watch the game last night but Monroe's numbers look good. I think it is interesting that Baynes has been playing so much better since Monroe was signed. I would have expected that Monroe would be an upgrade on Baynes but clearly Baynes is saying "not so fast". I thought Monroe would work up to being a starter and would have some impact in that role. If all he adds is some depth (can't beat out Baynes), that is not bad, but I will view it as a disappointment.
And also, no Theis last night and we did not miss a beat. So much for overstatements about his impact. Don't get me wrong, I like what Theis has given us this season but if he was our best starter for that last spot, it would be a clear weakness.
