A Greg Monroe buyout would come in handy right about now.

I hope this is just a precaution and nothing long term.
The concussion protocol is not a precaution. He'll have league-mandated hurdles he'll need to clear before he's allowed to return to basketball activities.

Here's a useful article from about this time last season when Horford was out.

Also, suffering two concussions in one year is already "something long-term" and rather concerning. Just ask Mark Savard.

Well, that's crappy news.  Really want to blow the doors off the Lakers on national tv.

More like the Celtics are gonna get blown out without Horford stopping Brook Lopez.  >:(

Does kinda p--- me off that they weren't given a flagrant on that after the one Marcus got.  That is what the rule is there for, to make players responsible for blows to the head.  Couldn't have been more obvious.

Naw, we should still win. Lopez is actually a bad match for Al anyways.

I'm more concerned about how long-term this might be given how long it took him last year to recover. Granted, if the symptoms just started this morning rather than when it happened on Monday night, hopefully that means it's a minor concussion and he'll be back soon.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

i admit i was thinking the same thing.  but DA probably doesn't make long term decisions based on short term injuries.  Still wouldn't mind if we explored picking him up.

Yup. We actually brought in Baynes precisely to help with the likes of Brook Lopez. Start Morris and give Tatum some burn at the 4. The Lakers don't have a big PF either way.

Elsewhere, Cavaliers fans are celebrating that they have a chance to nab the #1 seed again  ::) ::) ::)

Honestly, just beat the Lakers tonight, and I'll forget about the 10-game winning streak. Start resting players and lose games for health sakes.

Thought it was highly likely he was concussed the way he reacted when he got hit on that play.  Get well Al Horford.

We might need Tatum to shoulder more of the playmaking with the starters. Good thing Morris is back.

Would not be surprised to see Yabusele getting some minutes tonight.

Yeah he'll get 5-10 spot minutes with how Stevens usually runs his rotations.
